Field trial was conducted in Research Field equipped with rainfall transparent
shade, Biology Department, College of Science, Baghdad University during the
growing season of 2012 to test the potential of sorghum water extract in improving
yield and yield components of local cultivar of mung bean crop grown under
different moisture deficit stresses. The water stresses were applied by irrigated the
plots to field capacity and withheld the next irrigation until the soil water deficit
reaches 80, 50 and 30% of field capacity for control, mild water stress and higher
water stress, respectively. Foliar application of sorghum water extract at 0 ( control),

In this paper, a mathematical model consisting of the two harmful
phytoplankton interacting with a herbivorous zooplankton is proposed and studied.
The existence of all possible equilibrium points is carried out. The dynamical
behaviors of the model system around biologically feasible equilibrium points are
studied. Suitable Lyapunov functions are used to construct the basins of attractions
of those points. Conditions for which the proposed model persists are established.
The occurrence of local bifurcation and a Hopf bifurcation are investigated. Finally,
to confirm our obtained analytical results and specify the vital parameters, numerical
simulations are used for a hypothetical set of parameter values.

Amoebas live freely in different climates and parts of the world. Several species of Free Living Amoeba (FLA) are capable of causing serious as well as fatal infections in human beings. The aim of this study was to identify and compare genotypes of water-polluting FLA in major rivers and lakes of Iraq and compare them with FLA isolates from Iran and Turkey. For this purpose, the study included 20 water samples from the Tigris River, Euphrates River , Najaf Sea and Dukan lake in Iraq, 20 water samples from  Marivan, Velasht, and Soleimanshah lakes and Caspian sea in Iran, and 20 water samples from Sabanca, Seyfi , Hazar and Yay lakes in Turkey. In this work, the effect of aluminum (Al) dust particles on the DC discharge plasma properties in argon was investigated. A magnetron is placed behind the cathode at different pressures and with varying amounts of Al. The plasma temperature (T_e) and density (n_e) were calculated using the Boltzmann equation and Stark broadening phenomena, which are considered the most important plasma variables through which the other plasma parameters were calculated. Low dose -irradiation effects on Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) polymer are studied by means of positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy. An empirical formula is suggested to relate the ortho-positronium (o-Ps) lifetime,3 with the molecular weight of the polymer, Mn, and the concentration of the free radicals, [X], generated in PMMA polymer due to irradiation in air. It is shown that free radicals concentration increase with the absorbed dose, and it is measurable from the results of 3. The results showed that the positron lifetime parameters illustrate a significant behavior as the dose increase. The present work investigates the optimal effect of SiC addition on the mechanical and microstructure properties of Al/SiC composites. The samples were prepared using powder metallurgy (PM) technique. Different weight percentages ranging from 10% to 50% of SiC powder were added and mixed with Al.
