In this study consideration is given to viscous, incompressible, second order fluid flowing in a rectangular duct, with varying aspect ratio, under the action of the pressure gradient. In particular consideration is given to visco-inelastic liquid. An orthogonal coordinates system has been framed to describe the fluid motion and it is found that the motion equations are controiled by two parameters namely: Dean number and the Non-Newtonian parameter. تبين من خلال البحث ان عنصر الحديد و المنغنيز عند الموقع (o)  يمثل نهر ديالى قبل الالتقاء في نهر دجله اذ بلغت قيمهم خلال شهر تشرين الثاني 6.51 و 5.12 للحديد و المنغنيز اما خلال شهر شباط فقد بلغت 8.36 و6.203 على التوالي وتبين ان هذا الموقع غير  صالح لغرض زراعة المحاصيل الشتوية لأنه يؤثر سلبا فيها. اما بقية العناصر فهي ضمن الحدود المسموح بها  وفق الاعتماد على المعيار التابع لمنظمة الاغذية و الزراعة العالمية.

Eighty one bacterial isolates were obtained from 53 soil samples of different plants rhizosphere. All the isolated bacterial were screened for antifungal effect against Fusarium oxysporum. Three isolates gave antifungal activity with inhibition zone ranged between (0.5-2.5 cm). In this work, L-Triptophan was coupled with diazotized 4-aminoantipyrine to give novel Mono azo ligand 2-(4-aminoantipyren)-L-Tryptophane (AAT). This prepared ligand was coordinated with chloride salts of [Ln=La(III), Ce(III), Nd(III), Eu(III) and Gd(III)] ions. The structural feature of the ligand and it's metal complexes were identified by elemental analysis FTIR, HMMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity. Repeated blood transfusion in beta thalassemia major patients may lead to peroxidative tissue injury by secondary iron overload. In the present study, 100 patients(50 male+50 female) with beta thalassemia major patients with age (5-20) years and 60 healthy control were included during their attendance at Abin Al_Baladi hospital in Baghdad. Malondialdehyde ,Superoxide Dismutase and Vitamin E, were measured by using kits.The results showed A highly significant (p<0.01)increase in the levels of Malondialdehyde and Superoxide Dismutase, whereas, significant p(<0.01)decrease in the levels of vitamin-E, This suggest that oxidative stress and reduced antioxidant defense mechanism play an important role in pathogenesis of beta thalassemia

This work includes synthesis of some new derivatives of Schiff bases as intermediate compounds. Through the reaction 1,4- phen ylene diamine with different aromatic aldehydes substituted by many different groups in acidic medium and absolute ethanol as a solvent to obtain the Schiff bases (1a-5a). These compounds are reacted with substituted aromatic carboxylic acids and anhydride to give three types of heterocyclic compounds.
