Drought Assessment based on Different Metrological Drought indices in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, KRG, Iraq

This study intends to thoroughly examine the occurrence and characteristics of drought events in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate from 1985 to 2015. Optimum Design of Power System Stabilizer based on Improved Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm

The procedure is applied on Single Machine with Infinite Bus (SMIB) system with power system stabilizer (PSS) at three different loading regimes. The simulations are made by using MATLAB software. The results show that by using Improved Ant Colony Optimization (IACO) the system will give better performance with less number of iterations as it compared with a previous modification on ACO. The study's goal was to determine how various vehicle types and speeds affected the amount of noise generated by traffic. The two factors were investigated at seven different arterial streets throughout Kirkuk city to measure the noise levels.
