Dust storms frequent in Iraq can have far-reaching consequences for the distribution and abundance of heavy and trace elements within the soil, ultimately influencing the dynamics of ecosystems. This study aims to identify the sources of the severe dust storm in Iraq on May 16, 2022, and assess the heavy element pollution and their environmental impacts. The results revealed that the hybrid-single-particle-Lagrange-integrated trajectory (HYSPLIT) model trajectory of the dust storm agreed with MODIS visuals. Results indicated that different diets significantly affected the development and survival of fig moth Ephestia cautella (Walk.) in laboratory . Egg incubation was ranged between 3.9 and 4 days , while egg production means were (130.5 , 126, 118.9 , 68 , 60.8 and 58) eggs frwed . Hatching percentages were (79.87% , 80.2% , 75.7% , 75.1% , 74.9% and 75%) on diets containing dates , ground wheat fig. raisin , currant and dryapriocot , respectively . Results of this study showed that the shortest generation period was obtained when insects were reared on diet containing ground wheat , while the longest generation period was record for insects reareded on dates.

The study of important physico-chemical factors of water of Al-Husainia creek during the period of May 2005 till the end of April 2006 indicated that water temperature showed clear monthly fluctuations ranged from 10 C° during January to 33 C° during August. Dissolved oxygen values ranged from 5.5 mg/ml during August to 14.8 mg/ml during January. Slight monthly changes were noticed in pH values, ranged from 7.7 during May to 9 during January. Also, slight monthly changes were recorded in salinity values which ranged from 0.67 ppt during October to 0.91 ppt during May. old. The aim of this experiment was to estimate the fetal age by
measurement of transthoracic, transabdominal, cotyledon length and width
during different period of gestation by using 5MHz real-time
ultrasonography. Linear, quadratic and cubic equations were described,
which adjust the relationship between the gestation age and each of
transthoracic, transabdominal, cotyledon length and width. Results indicated
that the quadratic equations of transthoracic and transabdominal were the
best equations; while the cubic equations of each of the cotyledon length and
width were the best equations to estimate the fetal age
