This study was aimed to detect the infestation of Rhipicephalus sanguineus of some mammals in Basrah province from January to June 2019. A total 75 of 210 (35.71%) of studied mammals were been infested. This species was isolated from horses in Iraq for the first time. The highest prevalence was recorded in dogs while the lowest in buffaloes. Mean of intensity was recorded mostly in sheep, and the lowest in horses. Laboratory studies was conducted in Biocontrol unit- Faculty of Agriculture- University of Baghdad in order to determine the impact of different temperatures  15,  20,  25, 30 and 35 ±2 C°  on the development and growth rate of  different stages of mealy bug P.citri. The results showed that the total developmental time from (egg - adult)of the mealy bug were  24.0, 28.08, 39.67 and 73.31 days  respectively. With significant rearing differences on temperatures 15, 20, 25 and 30 ±2  C°  respectively, while no development and growth rate on temperature  35±C°.

The preparation and characterization of innovative nanocomposites based on zinc oxide nanorods (ZNR) encapsulated by graphene (Gr) nanosheets and decorated with silver (Ag), and cupper (Cu) nanoparticles (NP) were studied. The study was conducted to estimate the economic losses caused by insect mole cricket Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa on some agricultural crops and Potato tubers in collage of Agriculture- Abu Ghraib season 2012-2013. Study showed Mole cricket caused percentage of infestation in spring potato tubers variety Luciana reached to 11.61% and the percentage of loss in weight of tubers reached 18.88%. For a given loading, the stiffness of a plate or shell structure can be increased significantly by the addition of ribs or stiffeners. Hitherto, the optimization techniques are mainly on the sizing of the ribs. The more important issue of identifying the optimum location of the ribs has received little attention. In this investigation, finite element analysis has been achieved for the determination of the optimum locations of the ribs for a given set of design constraints. In the conclusion, the author underlines the optimum positions of the ribs or stiffeners which give the best results. 

The present study aimed to assess enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and 
nested-polymerase chain reaction (n-PCR) methods based on B1 gene for the detection of 
Toxoplasma (T.) gondii in the blood and milk of local Iraqi goats. The SAG3 gene was also 
used to identify the genotyping of T. gondii in goats and aborted women in Iraq. A total of 
240 (80 blood, 80 sera, 80 milk) lactating goats and 30 blood samples from aborted women 
were included in this study. A total of 17 (21.2%) infected goats were found in blood samples 
and 23 (28.7%)in milk samples when using n-PCR, while the numbers were 23 (28.7%) and
