Listeria monocytogenes is a pathogen that causes infectious diseases in animals. It is one of the causal agents causing abortion in infected cows. This study was conducted to detect listeria monocytogenes in aborted cows. Also to estimate the role of the milk in the distribution of the pathogen by detecting the bacteria in milk of aborted cows as well as in raw milk from the market of Salahudeen province. At lambing, the 32 ewes were divided into two equal groups, lambs in the 1^st group were left with their dams till weaning and then were milked twice daily till they dry off (Continuous), whereas the 2^nd group, lambs were separated at night for 12 hr. and the ewes were milked once daily at morning (Restricted). A collection of 118 specimens of Iraqi phasianid birds belong to four species was examined
for haematozoa. Results show that 21.2% of them were infected with one or more of four
species of blood parasites; Haemoproteus danilewskyi, H. santosdiasi, Plasmodium sp. and

A one-dimensional finite difference model for the simultaneous movement of light nonaqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) and water through unsaturated-saturated zone of the soil in a three fluid phase system with air assumed constant at atmospheric pressure is developed. The flow equations described the motion of light non-aqueous phase liquid and water are cast in terms of the wetting and non-wetting fluid pressure heads respectively. An experimental and theoretical works were carried out to model the wire condenser in the domestic refrigerator by calculating the heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop and finding the optimum performance. The two methods were used for calculation, zone method, and an integral method. Numerical models are used to solve the two-dimensional transient natural convection heat transfer problem in an inclined shallow porous cavity. A constant heat flux is applied for heating and cooling all opposing walls. Solutions for laminar case are obtained within Rayleigh number varied from 20 to 500 and aspect ratio for porous cavity varied from 2 to 4. In this paper an atmometer apparatus were used in the greenhouses for estimating reference evapotranspiration values. Experimental work was conducted in the agriculture research center in the College of Agriculture-University of Baghdad west of the city of Baghdad. One atmometer was used in eggplant greenhouse and in cucumber greenhouse through the winter growing season 2013-2014. FAO Penman-Monteith equation was applied outside the greenhouse and used only 65% from the value of ET_o in the greenhouses for estimating the reference evapotranspiration in the greenhouse.
