In this study, the effect of ceramic coating on the performance and gases emission on diesel engine was investigated. A four-stroke, direct injected, single cylinder, diesel engine was tested at constant speed and at different load conditions without coating. Then, the inlet and exhaust valves faces were coated by about 500µm with ceramic materials. Ceramic layers were made of YttriaStabilized Zirconia (YSZ), and NiCrAl as a bond coat. Out of 704 sheep examined from three provinces (Baghdad, Hilla and Diala) in the central part of Iraq, 323(45.88%) were infected with Theileria hirci, 80 (11.36%) with Anaplasma ovis and 19(2.70%) with Babesia motasi. The percentage of sheep infected with Th. Hirci was much higher (P < 0.01) than those with A. ovis and B. motasi. The rate of infection with Th. hirci and A. ovis but not B. motasi increased with advancing age. There was no significant (P>0.05) difference in the rate of infection between males and females

NH4Y zeolite was converted to HY zeolite by ion exchanging with oxalic acid. This study was concerned with using ozone gas in drinking water treatment plant at Ibn-Sina Company. The main purpose of this research is to find the best contactor for ozone unit proposed. An investigation was conducted to study the absorption of ozone by water in two type of absorber. The effects of the process variables (such as height of water column, contact time, and pH) on the amount of ozone absorbed were investigated. Box-Wilson central composite rotatable design is used to design the experimental work for the mentioned variables. It was found that the optimum value of the variables studied was:
i) Height of water column (90 cm)
ii) Contact time (17-18 min)
