Detection and Genotyping of Human Papilloma Virus-Associated Oral Lichen Planus By In Situ Hybridization Technique
...Show More Authors

Background: Molecular DNA hybridization has confirmed more than 120 different human papilloma virus (HPV) genotypes. A small group of them have high- risk oncogenic potential. Many studies have described an association of such high risk-HPV genotypes with a variety of oral lesions including squamous cell carcinoma, leukoplakia, and lichen planus.
Materials and Methods: A total number of 42 tissue specimens, representing 27 patients with oral lichen planus and 15 apparently-healthy oral tissues, were included in this study. The molecular methods for HPV detection and genotyping were performed by in situ hybridization(ISH) using cocktailed- and specific high- risk HPV DNA probes, respectively.

He is knowledgeable in both Hebrew and Arabic, because most of his books were written in Arabic and the then translated to Hebrew. It seemed that he was influenced by Arab poets, specifically Abo Firas, and borrowed many issues, such as comparison, repetition, exaggeration, etc. and included them in his poetry.

This paper examines the change in planning pattern In Lebanon, which relies on vehicles as a semi-single mode of transport, and directing it towards re-shaping the city and introducing concepts of "smooth or flexible" mobility in its schemes; the concept of a "compact city" with an infrastructure based on a flexible mobility culture. Taking into consideration environmental, economical and health risks of the existing model, the paper focuses on the four foundations of the concepts of "city based on culture flexible mobility, "and provides a SWOT analysis to encourage for a shift in the planning methodology.

Hedges in Male and Female Language
...Show More Authors

Hedging is a linguistic phenomenon used to convey interpersonal messages in spoken interaction. It is a communicative strategy which enables speakers to soften the force of utterances or moderate the assertive force of  utterances. It is resulted from different features such as uncertainty, doubt, tentativeness, ambiguity, neutrality, mitigation, and subjectivity. Hedging is used widely in  TV debates to make utterances more acceptable to the interlocutors. Hedges are expressions used to communicate the speaker's  weak commitment to information conveyed. The utterances in debates are often hedged because in an unhedged form  might sound threatening to the addressees, and, therefore, be likely to be rejected.

Enhance the rheological properties of reservoir drilling fluid (RDF) using Fe2O3 as nanoparticle material

An effective drilling operation relies substantially on a reliable drilling fluid system, significantly impacting its success. Drilling fluids, particularly reservoir drill-in fluids (RDF), are crucial for minimizing formation damage and maximizing output. As soon as the reservoir is drilled, formation deterioration starts; thus, an optimized RDF with minimal harm is essential considering geology, reservoir fluids, and other factors. This study aims to improve reservoir drilling fluid to minimize skin damage by comparing nanoparticle-based RDFs with conventional drilling fluids used in the Mishrif formation, drilled horizontally 3000 meters. Employing nanoparticles in drilling fluids can improve performance and thermal resistance up

Geomechanical modeling and wellbore stability analysis for studying the shale rock failure
...Show More Authors

Wellbore stability constitutes a critical challenge that can precipitate an escalation in non-productive time (NPT) during drilling operations, subsequently resulting in an increase in well expenditures and consequent revenue deficits. Shale formations exhibit a greater propensity than many geological formations to induce complications during the drilling process. Consequently, advanced geomechanical analyses were executed on select wells within the Zubair oilfield to clarify the fundamental causes of instability predominant in the field. In this study, the model was applied to two specific wells (ZB-A and ZB-B) to perform a wellbore stability assessment utilizing available well log data, which includes parameters such as bit size (BS),

The House of Bernarda Alba: The Image of Repression and Female Rebellion Through the Character of Adela

In the present work, the image and representation of Adela, the youngest daughter of the family of the Casa de Bernarda Alba, one of the most popular works of the Spanish author Federico García Lorca (1898-1936), will be analyzed. In this work, there are different themes, but what concerns us is to show the repression, oppression and rebellion of this character in a context of customs of the 1920s in Spain. They are revealing elements in that period in which women were relegated to the background, despite the fact that a feminist movement had already begun in Spain. By studying Adela, we seek to see how a single woman confronts her family and the society that surrounds her to fight for freedom, although its end is finally linked to

Image restoration using regularized inverse filtering and adaptive threshold wavelet denoising

Although the Wiener filtering is the optimal tradeoff of inverse filtering and noise smoothing, in the case when the blurring filter is singular, the Wiener filtering actually amplify the noise. This suggests that a denoising step is needed to remove the amplified noise .Wavelet-based denoising scheme provides a natural technique for this purpose .

In this paper  a new image restoration scheme is proposed, the scheme contains two separate steps : Fourier-domain inverse filtering  and wavelet-domain image denoising. The first stage is Wiener filtering of the input image , the filtered image is inputted to adaptive threshold wavelet

The curved beam to be considered in this study is of isotropic opened thin – walled (I) section with equal top and bottom flanges. The derivation depends on Hamilton's principle which required finding the potential and kinetic energy of the curved beam section due to internal stresses and all types of movements (Vertical,Torsional and Lateral) .The effect of restrained warping displacement is also considered in this study. Three differential equations are derived for vertical, torsional and lateral movement .and approximate solutions are developed by using t
