The present study was designed in the aquaculture and fish nutrition research aquarium in the College of Veterinary Medicine/Baghdad University from a period 1/3 to 1/6/2013 to investigate the toxicity of the herbicide glyphosate aqua on Barbus sharpeyi fish. In this research, the kinetic studies of four isoenzymes of Asprtate aminotransferase, which partially purified from the urine of chronic renal failure patients were carried out .The four isoenzymes were obeyed Michaelis-Menton's equation and the optimum concentration of their substrate (Aspartic acid) was (166.5x10-3) mole/liter,and their Km values were determined. Four isoenzymesI,II,III,IV have shown an optimum pH at 7.4.The four isoenzymes obeyed Arrhenius equation up to 37º C and their Ea and Q10 constants were determined .

The aim of this study is to identify the gastrointestinal parasites and Protozoa in stray dogs.  The current study includes seven genera of intestinal helminths and protozoa as follows: one cestode (Taenia sp. 29.1%), four nematodes (Hookworm 86.6%, Toxocara canis 67.5%, Trichuris vulpis 51.6% and Strongyloides sp. 5%) and two protozoa (Giardia sp. 24.1% and Cryptosporidium sp. 20.8%) from 120 fecal samples of dogs were collected from different regions of Baghdad during the period from February to July 2014. The results revealed that the intestinal parasites appeared in all months of the study; however, the high infection rate was during the winter months.

Twenty Vervets monkeys were used to study the effect of sexes and ages on morphohistological and hematological pictures. The study revealed that age and sex affect blood values. Vervet monkeys registered a significant dominancy of hematological parameters in adult males. Erythrocytes of vervet monkeys were of macrocytic type, howell-Jolly bodies were observed. Rouleaux formation, Anisocytosis, Aggregation, and Agglutination were not observed. A significant predominancy of neutrophils in females and lymphocytes in males was recorded.
