Recent studies have proved the important role of fungi in the biodegradation of oil pollutants. The present study aims to find the optimal conditions for the fungi to get the best rate of the biodegradation of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs) (Naphthalene) compounds. Soil samples were taken from 18 different sites polluted with oil wastes and cultured then obtained 312 isolated fungi from 64 replicates Primarily screening were done on fungal isolates on solid media containing naphthalene the results revealed that 25 fungal isolates gave good growth, 47 fungal isolates gave Moderate growth, 66 gave weak growth and 147 fungal isolates gave no growth on Naphthalene solid media.

The preequilibrium statistical model, which is used to analyze nuclear reaction data, depends basically on number of parameters including the master equation. A numerical solution for the master equation of the preequilibrium statistical model is presented in this work. One-component Fermi gas model is assumed. This numerical method is shown to give the same accuracy for the simple as well as the more advanced schemes. The present method shows fast convergence for a wide range of physical system parameters. Such a method is applied for two reaction examples that include neutron and proton induced reactions with 54Fe nucleus for entrance energies 20 and 80 MeV. When radical was 2-5 mm, seedling were soaked in a 1% NaCl solution for 3h, then transferred to glass container with same solution. The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of variation of influent raw water turbidity, bed composition, and filtration rate on the performance of mono (sand) and dual media (sand and anthracite) rapid gravity filters in response to the effluent filtered water turbidity and headloss development. In order to evaluate each filter pe1formance, sieve analysis was made to characterize both media and to determine the effective size and uniformity coefficient. Liquid-liquid membrane extraction technique, pertraction, using three types of solvents (methyl isobutyl ketone, n-butyl acetate, and n-amyl acetate) was used for recovery of penicillin V from simulated fermentation broth under various operating conditions of pH value (4-6) for feed and (6-8) for receiver phase, time (0-40 min), and agitation speed (300-500 rpm) in a batch laboratory unit system. The optimum conditions for extraction were at pH of 4 for feed, and 8 for receiver phase, rotation speed of 500 rpm, time of 40 min, and solvent of MIBK as membrane, where more than 98% of penicillin was extracted. 

  In this study , extraction of  irradiated high concentration hexavallent uranium from fission products ( high gamma radiation ) was carried out using multistages countercurrent continuous technique (mixer setller) , employing this technique requires a designing flow sheet that recover all the amounts of uranium and to minimize its losses in the nuclear waste streams. The present study aims to evaluate the biosorption of reactive orange dye by using garden grass. Experiments were carried out in a batch reactor to obtain equilibrium and thermodynamic data. Experimental parameters affecting the biosorption process such as pH, shaking time, initial dye concentrations, and temperature were thoroughly examined. The optimum pH for removal was found to be 4. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis indicated that the electronegative groups on the surface of garden grass were the major groups responsible for the biosorption process.
