Efficacy of silver nanoparticles from Fusarium solani and mycorrhizal inoculation for biological control of Fusarium wilt in tomato
...Show More Authors

The present study investigates the characterization of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized using Fusarium solani and their impact on tomato seed germination, plant growth, and disease resistance. A visible color change from yellow to dark smoky indicated the formation of AgNPs, while UV-visible spectrophotometry revealed an absorbance peak at 437 nm, confirming their presence. Atomic force microscopy analysis showed that the AgNPs ranged from 0 to 39.27 nm in size, with an average height of 5.772 nm, while scanning electron microscopy highlighted their diverse surface morphology. The application of AgNPs and mycorrhizal fungi significantly improved tomato seed germination rates, plant height, and dry weight compared to untreate

New Weighted Synthetic Oversampling Method for Improving Credit Card Fraud Detection
...Show More Authors

The use of credit cards for online purchases has significantly increased in recent years, but it has also led to an increase in fraudulent activities that cost businesses and consumers billions of dollars annually. Detecting fraudulent transactions is crucial for protecting customers and maintaining the financial system's integrity. However, the number of fraudulent transactions is less than legitimate transactions, which can result in a data imbalance that affects classification performance and bias in the model evaluation results. This paper focuses on processing imbalanced data by proposing a new weighted oversampling method, wADASMO, to generate minor-class data (i.e., fraudulent transactions). The proposed method is based on th

The pure and Sb doped GeSe thin films have been prepared by thermal flash evaporation technique. Both the structural and optical measurement were carried out for as deposited and annealed films at different annealing temperatures.XRD spectra revealed that the all films have one significant broad amorphous peak except for pure GeSe thin film which annealed at 573 K, it has sharp peak belong to orthorhombic structure nearly at 2θ=33o. The results of the optical studies showed that the optical transition is direct and indirect allowed. The energy gap in general increased with increasing annealing temperature and decreased with increase the ratio of Sb dopant. The southern part of it, 93 km long from Umm al-Rassas Island to Ras al-Bisha, represents the international border between Iraq and Iran, where the Thalweg line represents the border between the two countries, which is the deepest point in the riverbed (according to the 1975 Algiers Agreement). La Visión Filosófica en las Célebres Obras Literarias y Dramáticas de Unamuno
...Show More Authors

Abstract:

The study sample consisted of (100) senior citizens residing in nursing homes in Baghdad and Kirkuk cities. They were selected in a simple random way. In order to achieve the research objectives, two scales were developed to measure the abuse of the elderly consisted of six domains: Neglection abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse, social abuse, financial abuse, sexual abuse), and the other to measure the life review. The results showed that the level of abuse of older people in the sample is higher than the average in the society they belong to, the level of life review was higher than the average they belong to, and the a

The efficiency of these techniques in detoxifying aflatoxin B1 (Afla B1), ochratoxin A (Ochra A), and fumonisin B1 (Fum B1) in feeds of poultry and their effects on quality of feed were inspected. Samples of feed were subjected to APCD, UVC w/ O3, and PTW for 10, 20, and 60 min. Feed losses in broiler farms are negatively affecting the health and growth of broiler and thus reducing profitability. This study aimed to estimate feed loss in small-scale broiler farms using two modified conventional feeders, Trough and Tube feeders, and two different feed forms, Mash and Pellet. The experiment was carried out using non-modified feeders and modified by attaching a 4×4 cm protective net to Trough feeder and reducing length from 6 cm to 4 cm to Tube feeder. Results showed a very slight effect of feeder type on feed loss for the benefit of the Trough feeder. The feed losses were significantly noted (from 3.91% to 1.84% before and after modification, respectively) when feeding Mashed feed with T
