The HLA-class I (A and B) and -class II (DR and DQ) alleles were investigated in 145 (72 males and 73 females) unrelated Iraqi Arabs, and their percentage frequencies were compared with the corresponding frequencies in three populations of the Arabian Gulf region (Kuwaitis, Saudis and Omanis). At HLA-A locus, the distribution of the alleles showed no significant difference, while alleles of HLA-B, -DR and -DQ loci showed a significant different distribution in the four populations, especially, B and DR loci. The Buzurgan oil field is one of the most important oil fields border in southern Iraq.

Adjacent to the Fauqi and Abu Ghirab oil fields common with Iran. The 3D seismic data showed the structural and stratigraphic of the Buzurgan oil field, where the results showed that the structure is an anticline fold with two structural domes separated by a saddle, the northern culmination is shallower and less deformation. Thirty-one faults were detected and most of them at the south part of the field which are small while the north faults are larger.

We have carried out multi color CCD surface photometry on the spiral galaxies NGC 4800 and NGC 2715 using 1.88 m optical telescope of Kottamia Astronomical Observatory. From these observations, the surface brightness, Ellipticity, position angle and color indices profiles are studied. Stellar populations in different regions of the galaxies are analyzed using color indices diagrams. We found that the galaxy NGC 4800 has a diffuse bright nuclear region and the asymmetry of the bar is due to the nonuniform distribution of dust in the galaxy.      Fuzzy C-means (FCM) is a clustering method used for collecting similar data elements within the group according to specific measurements. Tabu is a heuristic algorithm. In this paper, Probabilistic Tabu Search for FCM implemented to find a global clustering based on the minimum value of the Fuzzy objective function. The experiments designed for different networks, and cluster’s number the results show the best performance based on the comparison that is done between the values of the objective function in the case of using standard FCM and Tabu-FCM, for the average of ten runs.

The present work adapts the lambda cold dark matter ΛCDM model for simulating 106 dark matter and 106 gas particles to form galaxies inside a box of size (70Mpc/h)3. The simulation is shown from high redshift z=10(1.2Gyr.) after the Big Bang to the low redshift z=0(13.4Gyr.) which represents the present day. The position of the particles and the temperature-density relations were studied at each epoch. It is found that the galaxies formation start at low redshift z=5 and the gas cooled at 104 K. The web construction of voids, filaments and clusters of galaxies were observed clearly at z=0. Sixteen processors of high performance supercomputer of Nottingham University-England were used in the simulation and the run took more than one day.

In this work the study mainly investigated the inhibition behavior, and the adsorption properties of different concentrations of an aqueous extraction of thyme plant range (5-20) ppm at the temperature range (288-318) K for corrosion of dental amalgam in artificial saliva, by applying electrochemical method. The result showed good inhibitive action for all thyme extract concentration with slight decreases by increasing temperature. The physisorption for thyme extract compound on the surface of dental amalgam obeys Langmuir isotherm. The kinetic parameter for corrosion process and thermodynamic data for adsorption process has been calculated.

This study aimed to observe the effect of oxygen levels during the carotenoid degradation process to produce β-ionone, several parameters have been pointed, including carotenoid levels in CPO before and after the degradation process using a spectrophotometer, the color of the CPO solution before and after degradation using the color flex hunter lab and the β-ionone levels resulting from the degradation of Carotenoids by gas chromatography using a mass spectrometry detector. As the result, it can be stated that the presence of oxygen has influenced the degradation of carotenoids in CPO. The greater the amount of oxygen, the more carotenoids are degraded.
