Background: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) virus is a recognized important cause of congenital CMV infection which carries a significant risk for symptomatic disease and developmental defects in newborns. Its prevalence varies from place to other and time to time. This study is conducted to estimate its prevalence in Baghdad among infants suspected of having a congenital infection and to study the associated findings.

A study was dane on 300 cases of Colibacillosis in broiler chickens collected from poultry farms in Baghdad. Escherichia coli was isolated from all cases from heart blood. The highest incidence (45%) of the disease was noticed among the 3-4 weeks old chickens. The antibiotic sensitivity test revealed that all isolates were resistant to  Chloramphenical, Tetracycline,Lincomycin and Erythromycin. Ninty five percent of the isolates were resistant to Sulfa Trimethoprim mixture and 40% to Ampicillin. Serotyping of some of the isolates  showed that the serotypes 01, 02 and 078 were the most prevalent types; other serotypes were also identified especially 035, 036, 088 and 018.

The sintering behavior of Alumina was investigated by adding TiO2. The addition of TiO2 lowered the sintering temperature of the Alumina compared with those of pure Alumina. The result suggests that TiO2 acts as an activator for sintering of Alumina. Water absorption, apparent porosity and density were examined for both pure and TiO2 added to Alumina samples. The variations of sintering behavior were discussed in terms of shrinkage, porosity, water absorption and density. Thermal shock resistance was also examined. A study was conducted invitro to determine the effects of storage at
temperature 4 Cº upon the survival of protoscolices of Echinococcus
granulosus from 86 hydatid cysts isolated from infected donkeys . Flam cell
activity was the choice for viability , in addition using vital stain (0.1%
aqueous eosin) . The result showed that higher percentage survival 94.41%
in hydatid fluid for 9 days . The longest survival times of any of the samples
tested was 81 days with the survival percentage 85% and the lowest was 33%

Eimeria is an apicomplex protozoon which affects many species of birds, domestic and wild animals including deer. This is the first study in Iraq that was designed for diagnosis Eimeria spp. in deer using traditional methods. Eighty fecal samples of Fallow deer (Damadama) were collected in different provinces in the middle part of Iraq during December 2018 to the end of September 2019. Samples were examined by direct smear and flotation with Sheather's solution. The total infection rate with Eimeria spp. was 70% (56/80), in which higher infection rate was observed in female deer (78%, 39/50).
