The aim of this study is to detect the prevalence of macroscopic sarcocystosis of 480 wild birds ( 82 Pygmy cormorant, 34 Black Stork, 99Common Gull,74 little Egret, 91Raven and 100 Mallard) were hunted from October 2009 to September 2010 in Al Rashdia areae /Baghdad . The macroscopic infection total was 9.58%. it was regarded to monthly variation. It was 27.5% in February and 2.5% in August. The highest infection rate was in the thorax muscles (6.2%) and the lowest in the neck muscles (1.6%), Also the macroscopic infection rate was higher (13.5%) in males than females (5%).

Ex-situ bioremediation of 2,4-D herbicide-contaminated soil was studied using a slurry bioreactor operate at aerobic conditions. The performance of the slurry bioreactor was tested for three types of soil (sand, sandy loam and clay) contaminated with different concentration of 2,4-D, 200,300and500mg/kg soil. Sewage sludge was used as an inexpensive source of microorganisms which is available in large quantities in wastewater treatment plants. The results show that all biodegradation experiments demonstrated a significant decreases in 2,4-D concentration in the tested soils. Shumblan (SH) is one of the most undesirable aquatic plants widespread in the irrigation channels and water bodies. This work focuses on boosting the biogas potential of shumblan by co-digesting it with other types of wastes without employing any chemical or thermal pretreatments as done in previous studies. A maximum biogas recovery of 378 ml/g VS was reached using shumblan with cow manure as inoculum in a ratio of 1:1. The methane content of the biogas was 55%. In the present work a modification was made on three equations to represent the
experiment data which results for Iraqi petroleum and natural asphalt. The equations
have been developed for estimating the chemical composition and physical properties
of asphalt cement at different temperature and aging time. The standard deviations of
all equations were calculated.
The modified correlation related to the aging time and temperature with penetration
index and durability index of aged petroleum and natural asphalts were developed.
The first equation represents the relationship between the durability index with aging
time and temperature.
