Eighty one bacterial isolates were obtained from 53 soil samples of different plants rhizosphere. All the isolated bacterial were screened for antifungal effect against Fusarium oxysporum. Three isolates gave antifungal activity with inhibition zone ranged between (0.5-2.5 cm). Two isolates (Bd1 and Bd2) were Brevundimonas diminuta, while the third(Pf1) was Pseudomonas fluorescence .B.diminuta(Bd1) which used in this study isolated from Raphanus sativus gave the highest inhibitionzone against F. oxysporum.In green house experiment , seedling of tomato cultivar Lycopersicon esculentum . var. commune were treated with two concentration 1012 cell/ml(B12 ) ,1014 cell/ml (B14) of B.diminuta (Bd1) and planted in soil mixed with106 spores/gm(F)
... Show MoreIn this work, L-Triptophan was coupled with diazotized 4-aminoantipyrine to give novel Mono azo ligand 2-(4-aminoantipyren)-L-Tryptophane (AAT). This prepared ligand was coordinated with chloride salts of [Ln=La(III), Ce(III), Nd(III), Eu(III) and Gd(III)] ions. The structural feature of the ligand and it's metal complexes were identified by elemental analysis FTIR, HMMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity. In the present study, 100 patients(50 male+50 female) with beta thalassemia major patients with age (5-20) years and 60 healthy control were included during their attendance at Abin Al_Baladi hospital in Baghdad. Malondialdehyde ,Superoxide Dismutase and Vitamin E, were measured by using kits.The results showed A highly significant (p<0.01)increase in the levels of Malondialdehyde and Superoxide Dismutase, whereas, significant p(<0.01)decrease in the levels of vitamin-E, This suggest that oxidative stress and reduced antioxidant defense mechanism play an important role in pathogenesis of beta thalassemia

Through the reaction 1,4- phen ylene diamine with different aromatic aldehydes substituted by many different groups in acidic medium and absolute ethanol as a solvent to obtain the Schiff bases (1a-5a). These compounds are reacted with substituted aromatic carboxylic acids and anhydride to give three types of heterocyclic compounds. The first line includes direct reaction with maleic anhydride under certain conditions to give new derivatives of oxazpine(6b-10b).
