    This work deals with a numerical investigation to evaluate the utilization of a water pipe buried inside a roof to reduce the heat gain and minimize the transmission of heat energy inside the conditioning space in summer season.     The numerical results of this paper showed that the reduction in heat gain and energy saving could be occurred with specific values of parameters, like the number of pipes per square meter, the ratio of pipe diameter to the roof thickness, and the pipe inlet water temperature. This research is devoted to investigate the behaviour and load carrying capacity of reinforced
concrete columns exposed to fire flame. The experimental program consisted of casting and testing of 128 column specimens divided into two series A and B with target compressive strength (30 and 40 MPa) and named series A and B respectively. Each series was divided into three main groups loaded eccentrically with eccentricities 30mm and 80mm. It was found that the predicted load carrying capacity of reinforced concrete columns by three codes (ACI-318/08, BS-8110/97 and Canadian/84), was unconservative after burning. The BS Code equation was found to predict load capacity after exposure to high fire temperature levels better than other codes.

The performance of photovoltaic (PV) panel having staggered metal foam fins was examined experimentally in Baghdad, Iraq. Three staggered metal foam fin configurations attached to the backside of the PV panel were studied. The measured parameters were front and back surfaces temperature, open voltage and current circuits, maximum power, and PV efficiency. It was noted that the maximum electrical efficiency enhancement was 4.7% for staggered metal foam fins (case III) than the reference PV panel. The operating temperature of the cell was increased when the value of solar intensity was high. Thereby, the electrical efficiency was decreased. Surveying 59 references concerning the occurrence of the monogeneans of the family Diplozoidae parasitizing fishes of Iraq showed the occurrence of 15 valid species of this family which included one species of Diplozoon, one species of Eudiplozoon and 13 species of Paradiplozoon. Three species of nematodes within Acrobeloides (Cobb, 1924); Thorne, 1937 (Rhabditida, Cephalobidae) were collected and recorded for the first time in Iraq, based on morphometric and molecular data, these species, A. saeedi Siddiqi, Ley & Khan, 1992, A. apiculatus (Thorne, 1925), and A. bodenheimeri (Steiner, 1936), were molecularly characterized using the partial 28S rRNA gene sequences. The phylogenetic tree has been constructed to separate Acrobeloides species from closely related species.

The current study was aimed to test the ability of Hydrilla verticillata plant ability to accumulated of cadmium and lead in its tissues. The plant was treated with different concentrations of cadmium (1,2,4,8) ppm and lead (0.5,5,10,20) ppm for 21 days'.
