Diatoms are important algal groups in different aquatic ecosystem and considered as bioindicators for water quality and environmental health. Hoor-AL-Azim or Hoor-al-Hawizeh is one of the most extensive and ecologically important wetlands in the Middle East which is shared between Iran (south-west) and Iraq(south). A major part of the wetland area was exposed to drying completely or partially during last few decades due to two Country politics. The samples were taken on a monthly basis from four stations for year from January to end of December, for identification and seasonal changes of Diatoms (Bacillariophyta

This dramatic work came as a reaction to the most crucial and valuable turning point in the scientific achievements of human engineering, namely, the cloning of the sheep called Dolly. Therefore, A Number is a play that presents an analytical stage for imagining the biotechnological and scientific future. This dramatic vignette captures the playwright’s fears towards the abnormal progress of technology and science and how far such technological progress affects human relationships and identity. It also portrays how technological progress results in the feeling of a lack of

hardness (1000-1100) HV was used as abrasive material. The abrasive wear of these pipes has been measured experimentally by measuring the wear rate for each case under different sliding speeds, applied loads, and sand conditions (dry or wet). All tests have been conducted using sand of particle size (200-425) µm, ambient temperature of 34.5 °C and humidity 22% (Lab conditions).
The results show that the material loss due to abrasive wear increased monotonically with
When the depth of stressed soil is rather small, Plate Load Test (PLT) becomes the most efficient test to estimate the soil properties for design purposes. Among these properties, modulus of subgrade reaction is the most important one that usually employed in roads and concrete pavement design. Two methods are available to perform PLT: static and dynamic methods. Static PLT is usually adopted due to its simplicity and time saving to be performs in comparison with cyclic (dynamic) method. The two methods are described in ASTM standard.
In this paper the effect of the test method used in PLT in estimation of some mechanical soil properties was distinguished via a series of both test methods applied in a same site. The comparison of

The actual decking system of the bridge is represented by an equivalent grillage of beams. A span 24 m of simply supported right bridge deck with I-section prestressed concrete girders is taken as the case study to obtain the values of the bending moment's distribution for the two types of skewness (types 1 and 2) and the results of skew types are compared against the moments of the right deck span of the bridge. In the skew type 1 the deck span is increased as skew angle increased while in type 2 there is no increase in the desk span. The analysis results for the span are obtained dead and live loads (Iraqi standar

The high thermal cyclic load is usually coming from high temperature, high pressure, start-up, shut-down and load change. An experimental and numerical analysis was carried out on the real blade and model of blade to simulate the real condition in gas turbine. The pressure, temperature distribution, stress intensity factor and the thermal stress in model of blade have been investigated numerically using ANSYS V.17 software. The experimental works were carried out using a particular designed and manufactured rig to simulate the real condition that blade suffers from. A new cont
