Research Interests

I am interested in research related to pathophysiology, prevention, and management of Diabetes Mellitus (DM), with a particular focus on its long-term complications. Diabetes, both Type 1 and Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, presents significant global health challenges, leading to a spectrum of complications that affect multiple organ systems. These complications, such as cardiovascular disease, nephropathy, neuropathy, and retinopathy, contribute to increased morbidity and mortality among diabetic patients. My researches aim to explore the mechanisms that link chronic hyperglycemia with these complications, identifying potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets that can help in early diagnosis and more effective treatments. I am particularly interested in the role of oxidative stress, inflammation, and insulin resistance in accelerating vascular damage and metabolic dysfunction in diabetic patient.
