A new series of sulfonamide derivatives (6a-c), containing 1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol (5a-c) ring system, were synthesized and their structures were identified by using ATR-FT-IR and ¹HNMR spectroscopic analytical techniques. The synthesized compounds undergo in vitro evaluation to assess their antimicrobial activity against specific strains of Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria, and fungi species and compare them with standard antimicrobial drugs such as sulfamethoxazole, sulfadiazine, and fluconazole. The results indicate successful synthesis of the target compounds, which exhibit high activity against, Gram-positive bacteria (S. aureus, S. pneumonia, and B. subtilis), moderate to high activity again

This experiment presented essential oils by GC/MS, pigment content, and their antioxidant activities as well as sensory evaluation of delight samples. Limonene (66.88%) was the most prevalent yield. The peels of clementine had DPPH and ABT Scavenging activity. All levels of pigment extract had better scores for all sensory values and recorded acceptable scores in terms of appearance, color, aroma, and overall acceptability compared to control delight. Besides, delight samples containing 15 mg astaxanthin pigment extract showed maximum sensory scores compared to other samples and control delight. This study aims to answer the following question: Is a student who attaches to the social group strongly affected by social interaction and social status?  The population of the study included a group of medical students at the University of Al-Kufa. In this study blood samples were collected from 150 newborns (NBs), In a period from 20082010, with blood groups A and B from mother’s blood group O positive and those who do not have any other reason for the jaundice..Of 150 NBs, 105 have blood group A and 45 with group B. And the male to female ratio was 1.7:1. The average of NBs age at the onset of jaundice was 19.02 hrs, it was earlier in blood group B and in newborns of first pregnancy. The average of serum bilirubin level at 24 hours was 5.70 mg/dl; there was no statistical value of the blood group and the sex of the NBs in the bilirubin level. Newborns had anemia at delivery in 12 cases, 6 of them were premature. Fifty one NBs were followed for late anemia and found 36 (70%) had
