This work falls into a two sections, and a conclusion. The first section
presents the problem of the study, its importance, methodology, and review of
literature. The poem of “?araaka ؟asiyya dam؟’ (I Found You a Tear-Refractory)
for Abi-Firaas Al-Hamdani, represents the main code of the study through which
the two researchers try to approach the stylistic and psychological studies. To
accomplish such an approach, they try to link between a group of the poet’s
psychological characteristics and another group of prominent stylistic phenomena
found in the poem. The conclusion contains the main results the two researchers
have arrived at.

Seventy five isolates of Saccharomyces cerevisiae were identified, they were isolated from different local sources which included decayed fruits and vegetables, vinegar, fermented pasta, baker yeast and an alcohol factory. Identification of isolates was carried out by cultural microscopical and biochemical tests. Ethanol sensitivity of the isolates showed that the minimal inhibitory concentration of the isolate (Sy18) was 16% and Lethal concentration was 17%. The isolate (Sy18) was most efficient as ethanol producer 9.36% (v/w). In-vitro biological activities of the free new H4L ( indole-7-thiocarbohydrazone) ligand and its Ni(II), Pd(II) , Pt(II), Cu(II), Ag(I), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes are screened against two cancerous cell lines, that revealed significant activity only for [Cu2Cl2(H4L)2(PPh3)2] after 72 h treatment by the highest tested concentrations. The Copper(I) complex was characterized by X-ray Crystallography and the NMR spectra, whereas it has been confirmed to have momentous cytotoxicity against ovarian, breast cancerous cell lines (Caov-3, MCF-7). The apoptosis-inducing properties of the Cu(I) complex have been investigated through fluorescence microscopy visualization, DNA fragmentation analysis and propidium iodide flow cytometry.
