Asphalt is predominantly used to construct pavements for roads, highways, and airports. Both asphalt binder and asphalt – aggregate mixture show temperature and time dependent behavior. Rutting or permanent deformation is the leading cause of pavement deterioration in temperature and warm climatic regions of the world and low – temperature cracking is a common problem in cold regions. As the highway pavement infrastructure has aged and deteriorated, more pavements are in need of maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction. This is traditionally done by placing hot mix asphalt overlay.

Detection of pathogenic bacteria, such as Listeria  monocytogenes, in food is crucial for safeguarding public health in Iraq.  Forty five samples of frozen meat (15 samples of each of minced red meat, chicken, and fish) were collected from different markets in Baghdad city. Molecular (RT-PCR) and culturing (conventional microbiological examination) methods were used to determine the level of contamination of L. monocytogenes in these types of meat.

Approximate analytical solutions have been constructed using Adomain decomposition method under the assumption of long wave boundary layer type approximation and low Reynolds number. The effect of each of relaxation time, fractional parameters, Reynolds number, Froude number, inclination of channel and amplitude on the pressure difference, friction force and stream function along one wavelength are received and analyzed.

A rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method is proposed for the determination of metoclopramide hydrochloride. This method is based on the diazotization reaction of metoclopramide hydrochloride with sodium nitrite in hydrochloric acid medium; the formed diazonium salt is then coupled with phenol in sodium hydroxide medium, to form a yellow water-soluble mono azo dye. Beer’s law is obeyed in the concentration range of 1 – 20 μg mL-1 at 463 nm with detection limit 0.406 μg mL-1. The molar absorptivity and Sandell’s sensitivity were found to be 2.42 × 104 L mol-1 cm-1 and 0.0015 μg cm-2, respectively.
