Effect of Alcoholic Extract and Nano-capsules of Bacopa Monnieri Plant on Eggs of the<i> Callosobruchus maculatus</i>
...Show More Authors

This study used wild barbines  (Bacopa Monnieri)  to control the southern cowpea beetle (Callosobruchus maculatus) and their effects on cowpea beetle eggs. Alcoholic extracts and nanocapsules were used at different concentrations, with the alcohol extract being 1000, 2000, and 3000 PPM. Eight out of ten eggs were unhatched, and two hatched, indicating that the 3000 concentrations had the highest egg toxicity rate. Regarding saponins at the same concentrations, the 3000 concentrations had the best results, whereas the 1000 and 2000 concentrations produced poorer results. Additionally, it was discovered that saponins had a stronger effect than terpenes. The nanocapsule concentrations that affected the Callosobruchus maculatus beetle's eg

The Impact of Seasonal Changes on the Land Cover of Lake Hamrin: A Comparative Study of Dry and Wet Seasons
...Show More Authors

This study conducted a thorough analysis of changes in land cover components of the Lake Hamrin area, located within Diyala Governorate, Iraq, focusing on the influence of human and climatic factors. Human variables included the rate of water release from the Darbandikhan Dam, while climatic factors encompassed fluctuations in temperature and annual rainfall. These factors significantly impact the lake, the largest body of water in the region, and other land cover components, leading to disruptions in the overall ecological balance.

Two satellite images from 2024 were analyzed for this research, representing two distinct seasonal periods: the first image was captured in April, following the conclusion of the rainy season, while th

Diagnosis Some Non-diatoms Phytoplankton Algae Near Three Pollution Sites Producing Dyes in Tigris River
...Show More Authors

The presence and distribution of phytoplankton algae, which are related to water properties, are affected by these factors. Non-diatomic algae samples were collected during the autumn season in 2024-2025 from three sites on the Tigris River, including the Samarra pharmaceutical industry, woolen spinning factory, and paper waste landfill, to identify algae resistant to dye pollution. The study found slight temperature variations in three sites, with the highest temperature in the first site being 23.62 ºC and the lowest in the second site being 20.67 ºC. The water was found to be alkaline, with slightly reduced pH values at the first site. The electrical conductivity (EC) values were high, with the highest rate in the first site at 956.

Functionalization of N-H Linkage at Benzimidazole for the Construction of 1,3,4-Oxadiazole Derivatives
...Show More Authors

Benzimidazole is a bicyclic heterocyclic aromatic compound that contains a combination of a six-membered ring and a five-membered ring with two nitrogen atoms. The current study aims to combine these two moieties to identify new benzimidazole-based 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives. In this work, the preparation of new benzimidazole-containing substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazoles 3-16 has been described using a five-step process. The SN2 displacement reaction between benzimidazole and bromoacetic acid afforded the corresponding acid 1 in an 87% yield. Product 1 was treated with thionyl chloride to furnish the desired acid chloride form of 1. The next step involved the nucleophilic addition of hydrazine hydrate (99%) to the acid chloride d

Effect of Carbon Black on Adhesion, Wettability, Roughness, Impact, and Hardness of Styrene Acrylic Polymer for Surface Treatment
...Show More Authors

Styrene acrylic polymer (SAP) coatings protect materials from damage. Their performance can be enhanced by adding microscopic materials such as carbon black (CB), which improves their surface energy and hardness. This research aimed to evaluate the effect of carbon black at concentrations of 5, 10, 15, and 20% using the casting method. SAP films with varying weight percentages of carbon black were prepared. The mixture was magnetically stirred at 25°C for 1 hour, then stirred in an ultrasonic bath for 30 minutes, poured into a 20 cm diameter mold, and dried at room temperature for 24 hours. The adhesion strength peaked at a 5% CB concentration, reaching approximately 590. However, higher concentrations caused a significant decrease in a

Abstract

The algorithms has a great role to find zeroes of metric projection point , fixed point and common fixed point in Hilbert space .It is well known that the metric projection mapping plays important role in Fixed point theory , Differential Equations, Optimization theory and Variational Inequality problem. The success, effectiveness, speed and superiority of iterative methods over other approximate methods depend on two important factors: The first is the number of iterations, and the second is time. In this paper, we introduce new iterative, it has been generalized to a number of algorithms, such as the algorithm used in27, which is considered a generalization of the Ishikawa's iteration algorithm. We use fam

Calculating the Linearly Polarized Modes and their Properties in Weakly Guiding Step Index Fibers
...Show More Authors

The modal properties of optical fibers were calculated at core radii (1.45–5.05) µm in 1.20 µm increments. In this work, the calculation was performed at a wavelength of 1.030 µm using the RP Fiber Calculator software (free version 2025). The results demonstrated that when the core radius is comparable wavelength, the fiber supports only the fundamental mode, indicating single-mode operation; whereas larger core radii lead to multimode behavior. The study involved analyzing optical properties of step index fibers with core and cladding refractive indices of  = 1.469 and  = 1.46, respectively. The computed properties included the cut-off wavelength, effective area, power in the core, effective refractive index, and propagation cons

A New Artificial Intelligence Algorithm to Estimate the Survival Function  of the Modified Log-Logistic Distribution
...Show More Authors

Survival analysis is a fundamental statistical tool for studying the period leading up to a specific event, such as patient death or device failure. Interest in this analysis has grown due to its ability to provide accurate insights into survival rates and survival function estimation in various fields. This paper modifies the Log-logistic Distribution ( ) by adding a shape parameter to enhance its ability to predict more effectively.  After that, a new hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm (PSWGO), combining particle swarm optimization with the gray wolf algorithm, is proposed to estimate the survival function. To compare and investigate the performance of the proposed algorithm with three meta-heuristic algorithms (particle swarm optimizati

Optimal Adomian Decomposition Method for Solving Nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations in Sciences and Engineering
...Show More Authors

This paper shows new approximate ways to solve nonlinear ordinary differential equations using two methods that repeat steps: the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) and the optimal Adomian decomposition method (OADM). These equations are extensively utilized in fluid dynamics and engineering. The OADM sets itself apart by incorporating an optimal control parameter that enhances solution accuracy and accelerates convergence, providing a distinct advantage over the ADM. The two methods have been applied to three important equations: the Darcy-Brinkmann-Forchheimer moment equation, the Blasius equation, and the Falkner-Skan equation. The effectiveness of the two methods was assessed by looking at how quickly they converged and the largest e

The superconducting compound ( Pb1-xCdxBa2Ca2Cu3O9+ δ ) was prepared using the solid- state reaction (SSR) method as it is the most common method in the preparation of superconducting compounds, where the study was carried out at addition weights (x=0,0.15) to observe the effect of replacing lead with cadmium and the effect of this replacement on both the characteristics and behavior of the samples in terms of electrical resistance and critical temperature, where all samples displayed superconducting behavior. In this research, both the critical temperature of the compound and the dielectric properties of the compound (imaginary dielectric cons
