This study was designed to explore the effect of the ethanolic extract of Sonchus oleraceus on Escherichia coli infection in mice. The LD50 of the orally dosage ethanolic extract of Sonchus oleraceus was found to be 800gm/kg B.W for two weeks. Twenty five mice were randomly divided into five groups. The first group was given orally the ethanolic extract with dose 800 mg/kg B.W for two weeks, then infected with Escherichia coli bacteria with dose 1×10⁸ cfu for ten days. Second group was infected with Escherichia coli bacteria with dose 1×10⁸ cfu for ten days then treated with ethanolic extract of Sonchus oleraceus for two week

     يسعى هذا البحث إلى بيان ظاهرتين هما المعرب والدخيل، ودور العرب في نظرتهم اللغوية، ومدى استجابتهما لأقيسة النظام اللغوي العربي، وقواعده من حيث بناؤه، وما أُثير بشأنهما من جدل دار بين اللغويين الذين انقسموا بين متشدد ومتساهل، وتم أخذ نماذج تطبيقية توضيحية تميز بين الكلمة الدخيلة والمعربة.

Length of plasma generated by dc gas discharge under different vacuum pressures was studied experimentally. The cylindrical discharge tube of length 2m was evacuated under vacuum pressure range (0.1-0.5) mbar at constant external working dc voltage 1500V. It was found that the plasma length (L) increased exponentially with increasing of background vacuum air pressure. Empirical equation has been obtained between plasma length and gas pressure by using Logistic model of curve fitting. As vacuum pressure increases the plasma length increases due to collisions, ionizations, and diffusions of electrons and ions.
