The aim of present study to investigate the prevalence of Cryptosporidium Spp. in broiler
chickens in some regions of Karbala province and study the effect of months, sex and age on the
prevalence of parasite. The results were indicated that the overall percentage of infection was
20.71%. The highest rate of infection in Al-Husseiniya which amounted to 22.41% and the lowest
in the Ain Al-Tamur region (18.86%), while the highest rate of infection was in March which

The main objective of this study is to understand the work of the pile caps made of lightweight aerated foam concrete and study the many factors affecting the ability and the capacity of the shear. The study was done by analyzing previous practical and theoretical experiences on the reinforced concrete pile caps. The previous practical results indicated that all specimens failed by shear diagonal compression or tension modes except one specimen that failed flexural-shear mode. Based on test specimens' practical results and behavior, some theoretical methods for estimating the ultimate strength of reinforced concrete pile caps have been recommended, some of which evolved into the design documents available on the subject.

    The aim of this study was to measure the selenium level in the stray cats of both sexes. Blood samples were collected from forty four male and female stray cats from different places in Baghdad city for the estimation of selenium level. The results showed that the lowest value was 1.646 μmol/L (0.13 μg/ml (ppm)) and the highest value was 3.798 μmol/L (0.3 μg/ml (ppm)) with a mean value ± Standard Error of 2.526 μmol/L ± 0.091 (0.1995 μg/ml (ppm)± 0.007). The initial viral infection by EBV occurs in B lymphocytes and is followed by an extensive proliferation of T lymphocytes. In the present study, nanoporous material type MCM-41 was prepared by the sol-gel technique and was used as a carrier for prednisolone (PRD) drug delivery. The structural properties of mesoporous were fully characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N₂ adsorption /desorption and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR). The mass transfer in term of adsorption process (loading) and desorption process (releasing) properties were investigated. Trypanosomiasis is one of the common parasitic diseases, which infects the dromedary camels and decreases the numbers of these animals in Iraq. To get the best knowledge of the changes of iron status in camels infected with trypanosomiasis, in an attempt to take advantage of these variables as markers for infection, we designed this study.
