... Show MoreA total of 10 Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates was collected from burns and wounds patients in different Erbil hospitals.
Nine of these isolates were resistant to Ampicillin, Gentamycin, Ciproflaxacin, Cephalexin, Erythomycin, and Chloramphenicol, but sensitive to Naladixic acid, Cortimoxazol and Polymexin-B. While the isolate P. E 10 is resistant to Naladixic acid in addition to above.
The bacterium was found to contain two plasmid bands on agarose gel.
Transformation revealed that the resistance to the antibiotics was encoded by non- conjugative plasmids while no correlation was found with virulence determinants.

Fifty different samples (water and soil) were collected from different places in Iraq. Only (5) isolates showed the ability to grow and utilize methanol as a sole source of carbon and energy. Morphological, cultural characterization and biochemical tests confirmed that these isolates belonging to genus Pseudomonas (KK1-KK5) .Plasmid profiles results showed that these isolates were harbored only one large plasmid . KK5 isolate was selected because of its efficiency and ability to grow in high density on methanol selective medium (0.8%) for conjugation and curing experiments, these were checked by conjugation experiments after their expression in E. coli MM294. The genes responsible for methanol utilization were located on large conjugativ

Recommender systems may face many limitations and challenges, such as the cold start problem, which occurs when there is insufficient or no information about a new user or item. This leads to a decline in the performance of the recommender system. In this paper, we propose a recommendation system based on textual reviews and the deep learning method (RS-TRDL) to alleviate the user cold-start problem. Our RS-TRDL model can extract the important aspects and underlying sentiment polarity classification from the review text using

An orthogonal coordinate system has been used to describe the fluid motion and it is found that the motion equations are controlled by three parameters namely; Dean number, non-Newtonian parameter and frequency parameter. Solution for the secondary flow and the axial velocity are droved as perturbation over straight pipe. Firstly the expansion was in terms of Dean number and secondly in terms of frequency parameter. Perturbation equations are solved by using variation method namely, Galerkin's method, after eliminating the dependency on time. The solutions h

Pure Poly [Allylamine-Co-Butadiene] having high molecular weight was prepared for the first time from the reduction of the Poly [Acrylonitrile-Co-Butadiene] using Lithium Aluminium hydride. Softening point of the prepared polymer was (201-207)C, conversion percent was 88%, with intrinsic viscosity of the new polymer in benzene as a solvent was 1.56.

This research investigates how media alerts affect the epidemiological model by taking into account both asymptomatic and symptomatic cases. Media alerts serve as a powerful tool for raising awareness about the disease, driving people to undergo testing and diagnosis, and promoting adherence to public health measures. This, in turn, contributes to better reporting and surveillance of cases, leading to a more accurate representation of disease spread in the model. The proposed model introduces a five-dimensional compartment system that includes susceptible, asymptomatic, symptomatic, recovered populations and

The second step entailed reacting K1 with hydrazine hydrate, synthesizing 3-amino-2-(phenylamino) quinazolin-4(3H)-one (K2). The third step involved reaction of K2 with various aromatic aldehydes, yielding the Schiff bases derivatives Q1-Q5. The chemical structures of these compounds were identified by FT-IR,1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The newly synthesized derivatives (Q1-Q5) were subjected to rigorous evaluation to assess their efficacy as corrosion

The first inhibitor examined was the antibiotic trimethoprim. The second inhibitor studied was the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug voltaren. The results showed that titanium had a high corrosion current in the absence of a corrosion inhibitor, however, trimethoprim notably enhanced corrosion resistance and protection percentages of titanium (%IE) at higher concentrations by adhering to the metal surface, as evidenced by improved protection percentages. Furthermore, the results showed that as Voltaren concentration was increased, both corrosion resistance and inhibition efficiency d
