The present work investigates the optimal effect of SiC addition on the mechanical and microstructure properties of Al/SiC composites. The samples were prepared using powder metallurgy (PM) technique. Different weight percentages ranging from 10% to 50% of SiC powder were added and mixed with Al. Objective To investigate the accuracy of gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) E-cadherin and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) to discriminate periodontal health from disease. In this study, 60 urine samples were collected from healthy volunteer individuals (both males and females) residing in the Tuwaitha region (aged 20-60 years) and compared with 30 urine samples from individuals living in another area of Baghdad, far from AL- Tuwaitha nuclear site (aged 20-60 years). Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) is a major pregnancy complication that causes pregnant women mortality. Here, we had scrutinized the correlation between serum levels of -hCG and biochemical parameters in PIH. Serum samples were collected from eighty Iraqi women (forty women with pregnancy-induced hypertension as patients group, twenty normotensive pregnant women as a positive control, and twenty normotensive non-pregnant women as a negative control) all groups were diagnosed clinically.
