The present investigation was conducted to evaluate the effect of the crude extracts mixture of three plants (Tribulus terrestris, Phoenix dactylifera and Nasturtium officinale) on semen quality,sex hormones and reproductive performance of mature male mice. A group of 25 male mice given 150mg/kg/day of the powder of the plants mixture with the food for four weeks and another three groups of 25 animals each given intraperitoneal injection from each of the aqueous and ethanolic extracts with a doses 75, 150, and 300mg/kg/day for two weeks. Hydatid cysts infection rate was 13.56% in buffaloes, slaughtered at Al-
Diwania abbatoir, Al-Qaddisia province,Iraq, during the time period from July,
2000 to June, 2001.The only infected animals were the females, and the higher rate
of infection was found in those aged buffaloes. Lungs,livers, livers and lungs were
infected with 50%, 37.5% and 12.5%, respectively. The total rate of hydatid cysts
fertility was 53.85%, and the sterile, caseated and calcified cysts were 23.08%, 11,
54% and 11.5%, respectively. The mean total rate of viability of protoscoleces was
73.91%, and that of livers and lungs protoscoleces were 82.62% and 70.60%.

The antimicrobial activity of defatted apricot kernels and protein isolates of sweetened and unsweetened kernels against some pathogenic microbes was studied, and it was characterized by its effect on gram-positive bacteria more than gram-negative bacteria. A novel series of mixed-ligand complexes of the type, [ML 1 (L 2 ) 3 ]Cl x [M = Cr(III), Fe(III), Co(II),Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II), n = 2, 3], was synthesized using Schiffbase (HL 1 ) as main ligand, nicotinamide (L 2 ) as secondary ligand, and the corresponding metal ions in 1:3:1 molar ratio.
