New Tasseled Cap Classification Technique using Landsat-8 OLI Image Bands
...Show More Authors

The tasseled cap transformation (TCT) is a useful tool for compressing spectral data into a few bands associated with physical scene characteristics with minimal information loss. TCT was originally evolved from the Landsat multi-spectral scanner (MSS) launched in 1972 and is widely adapted to modern sensors. In this study, we derived the TCT coefficients for operational land imager (OLI) sensor on-board Landsat-8 acquired at 28 Sep.2013. A newly classification method is presented; the method is based on dividing the scatterplot between the Greenness and the Brightness of TCT into regions corresponding to their reflectance values. The results from this paper suggest that the TCT coefficient derived from the OLI bands at September is the

Biofuel Production from Cellulosic Wastes by Local Isolates of Streptomyces sp.
...Show More Authors

The current study aims to produce cellulase enzyme from Streptomyces spp. isolates and study the effect of some cultural conditions on cellulase production; biofuel production from cellulotic waste through enzymatic and acids hydrolysis. Out of 74 isolates of Streptomyces sp. were screened for cellulse production in solid and liquid media. Results showed higher capability of isolate Streptomyces sp. B 167 for cellulase production and bioconversion of cellulose, therefore selected for further studies. The results of optimization revealed that the cellulase enzyme productivity by the selected isolate reached 2.1 and 2.28 U/ml after 48 h of incubation time and pH 7 respectively. Cellulase productions in tested isolate improved (2.57 U/ml) b

Effects of Rotation and Inclined Magnetic Field on Walters' B Fluid in a Porous Medium using perturbation method or technique.
...Show More Authors

The peristaltic flow of Walter's B fluid through an asymmetric channel is analyzed. The constitutive equation for the balance of mass, momentum, trapped phenomena, and velocity distribution is modeled. Consideration of low Reynolds number and long wavelength assumption are used in the flow analysis to get an exact solution by using the perturbation method. The impact of impotent parameters on stream function and axial velocity has been gained. The set of figures is graphically analyzed of these parameters.

Many of the radio telescope's wireless sensor networks operate outdoors, where changing weather might impact their system performance. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the climatic and topographic factors that affect the quality of the radio link to mitigate its impact and adapt to different conditions. In this study, the effects of the region's topography and climate on the strength of the radio signal were studied. Besides studying the effects of the soil of the area and land flatness on determining the optimal location for erecting a radio telescope in Iraq within four governorates (Nineveh, AL-Anbar, Al-Najaf, and Al-Muthanna).      Cloud computing is one of the emerging technologies that expands the boundaries of the internet by using centralized servers to maintain data and resources. It allows users and consumers to use various applications provided by the cloud provider, but one of the major issues is task scheduling. Task scheduling is employed for the purpose of mapping the requests of users to the appropriate resources available. This paper provides a detailed survey of the available scheduling techniques for cloud environments based on six common metaheuristic  algorithms. Those algorithms are the Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CSA), Chicken Swarm Optimization (CSO), Genetic Algorithm (GA), Bat Algorithm (BA), Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA), and Grey

In people with a hereditary predisposition, gluten consumption causes celiac disease, a multifactorial autoimmune condition. The ensuing small intestine inflammatory process develops specific antibodies and causes various gastrointestinal and extra-intestinal symptoms with varying degrees of severity. Evaluation of the blood iron profile at various histological celiac disease severity in Iraqi patients was the goal of the current study.  Seventy-five Iraqi patients with celiac disease, with a mean age of 18.68± 11.13 years, were the study's participants. These people tested positive for celiac antibodies and experienced gastrointestinal symptoms. Based on the disease histological severity, they were divided into two groups: ma

It is used the concept of vector quantization and Logarithmic Image Processing (LIP). An enhancement of Kekre Median Codebook Generation (KMCG) algorithm has been proposed and used by the system. Several metrics utilized to evaluate the time and quality of the system. The results showed that the proposed system reduced the time of cartoon production. Additionally, it enhanced the quality of several aspects like smoothing, color reduction, and brightness.

Gaussian blur filter used to eliminate noise and add purity to images. Principal component analysis algorithm is a straightforward and active method to evolve feature vector and to minimize the dimensionality of data set, this paper proposed using the Gaussian blur filter to eliminate noise of images and improve the PCA for feature extraction. The traditional PCA result as total average of recall and precision are (93% ,97%) and for the improved PCA average recall and precision are (98% ,100%), this show that the improved PCA is more effective in recall and precision.
