This paper is concerned with preliminary test single stage shrinkage estimators for the mean (q) of normal distribution with known variance s2 when a prior estimate (q0) of the actule value (q) is available, using specifying shrinkage weight factor y( ) as well as pre-test region (R).         Expressions for the Bias, Mean Squared Error [MSE( )] and Relative Efficiency [R.Eff.( )] of proposed estimators are derived. In the present work, the antinociceptive action was assayed in several experiment models in mice, Hot plate, writhing and formalin test. The alcoholic extract of MP leaves at a dose of 150mg/kg B.W and 300 mg/kgB.W showed antinociceptive effects in different methods, where the dose of 300 mg/kg B.W showed significant reduction of the nociception by acetic acid. In the formalin test, the extract (300mg/kg B.W) also significantly reduced painful stimulus in both phases of the test. Treatment with extract (300mg/kg B.W) when given orally produced significant increase of the reaction time in hot plate test. These results showed that the leaves extract of MP contain active analgesic principles acting both centrally and peripherally.

The current study aims to identify the resilience of university students, as well as identify the differences in resilience according to the variable of gender and specialization. The research sample consisted of (382) students studying at Baghdad University. To measure Resilience, a questionnaire of (48) items was designed to collect the needed data. The results showed that the students of the University of Baghdad possess resilience. There are no differences in resilience according to gender and specialization.

The uranium concentration in tissue samples is measured by using fission tracks registration in CR-39 detector that caused by the bombardment of U235 with thermal neutrons from (241Am-Be) neutron source of thermal flux (5x 103 n.cm-2. s-1).
