Investigation of Optical and Electrical properties of Solid Polymer Electrolyte based on Natural polymer
...Show More Authors

Solid biopolymer electrolytes (SBEs) consisting of a natural blend that is leak-proof, biodegradable, and flexible are widely studied. In this study, an SBE composed of a fixed ratio of 50:50 of chitosan: polyvinylpyrrolidone (CS: PVP), and CS: PVP mixed with potassium iodide (KI) of different weight percentages of 7.5, 15, 22.5, 30, and 37.5 wt.% was prepared using the solution casting technique. The samples were characterized using UV-Vis spectrophotometry, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), and AC conductivity. FTIR analysis confirmed the interaction between the polymer blend of CS: PVP and the potassium salt. The addition of KI was found to disrupt hydrogen bonding between the polymer chains, likely due to the polymer-salt interactio

The green method was chosen for the preparation of nano iron oxide due to its simplicity, ease of preparation, and purity, compared to other methods. Nano iron oxide was made using a substance that causes precipitation and a coating from the alcoholic extract of orange leaves from Iraq. It was examined structurally and spectrally using several techniques, including X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, field-emission scanning microscopy (FESEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The diagnosis proved that the nano iron oxide was successfully prepared in a spherical form and with an average size of 71.1 nm. The nano iron oxide particles were tested for their ability to remove crystal viole

Improvement of Image Fusion Using Multi-Resolution Color Images
...Show More Authors

The image fusion technique was employed to generate a high-resolution image from a low-resolution one. A high scale was achieved by increasing the resolution of an image through interpolation, which relies on pixel neighbours. Multispectral images (low-resolution images with high resolution) from different satellites were utilized in this work for obtaining a high-resolution image. The crucial part of image fusion is image registration, which depends on obtaining a good high-resolution image. A scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) was utilized to receive control points with an affine transform. Correct control points are determined depending on the scale of the image (downscaling followed by upscaling), which is necessary for stabili

Study of starch, sugar blending effect on the biodegradability of (PVA) for packaging applications

PVA, Starch/PVA, and Starch/PVA/sugar samples of different
concentrations (10, 20, 30 and 40 % wt/wt) were prepared by casting

transition temperature (Tg) for the samples involved, which suggest
that starch/PVA and starch/PVA/sugar blends are miscible. The
miscibility is attributed to the hydrogen bonds between PVA and
starch. This is in a good agreement with (FTIR) results. Tg and Tm
decrease with starch and sugar content compared with that for
(PVA). Systematic decrease in ultimate strength, due to starch and
sugar ratio increase, is attributed to (PVA), which has more hydroxyl

In Iraq, leukemia affected 1532 (847 males and 683 females) according to the latest announced statistics of the Iraqi Cancer Registry Center in 2012. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia may occur due to several genetic causes, such as chromosomal aberrations and gene mutations, or exposure to carcinogens and mutagens (radiation, chemicals, and oncogenic viruses). The most famous virus is the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), which is a gamma herpesvirus that infects more than 90% of individuals. Nose-to-Brain Delivery of Dolutegravir via Thermoresponsive Nanostructured Lipid Carriers: Cytocompatibility and Fluorescent Biodistribution Studies

Delivering therapeutic agents to the brain remains a major challenge due to the restrictive nature of the blood–brain barrier (BBB). Intranasal administration has emerged as a promising, non-invasive approach that bypasses the BBB and facilitates direct nose-to-brain transport via the olfactory and trigeminal pathways. In this study, we developed a nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) system for the intranasal delivery of dolutegravir sodium, a potent integrase inhibitor, with the goal of enhancing brain bioavailability for the treatment of neuroHIV and related central nervous system (CNS) complications. The NLCs were optimized for particle size, polydispersity index (PDI), and drug incorporation efficiency. The optimized formulation exhibi

The efficient exploitation of production inventory systems is of significant importance in the modern industrial reality. This paper explores the effect of such a system on dynamic behaviour of a system when the control is provided synergistically by a method called synergetic control (SC). The mathematical model of the system is first constructed and SC introduced to improve the responsiveness of the system when the time-varying demand condition is taken into account. To cope with the problem of unavailability of the systems' state signals and to estimate the demand, the extended state observer (ESO) is introduced. Moreover, mountain gazelle optimizer (MGO) is employed to tune the adjustable design parameters of the SC and the ESO based on

In this paper, the performance of the backstepping sliding mode controller schemes for the angular velocity control for a rotary actuator of an angular velocity control system that utilizes a novel hydraulic flow control method called inlet throttling was investigated. For the angular velocity dynamic, a linear state feedback with suitable high gain is designed as the virtual controller, where steady state error can be made arbitrarily small according to the gain value.
