Heterocyclic Azo Dyes Derived from Adenine: Synthesis, Spectral Characterization, a wool Dying
...Show More Authors

The novel (La-PAA) of the ligand 8-[3-(pyrazoyl)azo]Adenine (PAA) was synthesized with the molar ratio (1:3), which was appointed by using the mole ratio method. The C.H.N.S elemental analysis, magnetic measurement, thermal analysis, and spectral methods (UV-Vis, FTIR, and HNMR) were employed to support the mode of binding and geometrical structure for ligand (PAA) and (La-PAA) complex. The FTIR and 1H N.M.R. spectral results showed that the (PAA) acts as neutral N, N-bidentate with La (III), as well as the absorption results in specific octahedral structures for (La-PAA) complex. The thermal decomposition of the (PAA) ligand and its (La-PAA) complex performed many steps, and the (La-PAA) complex is more thermal stable than the free l

Histological Structure of the Kidney in the Iraqi Pin-tailed Sandgrouse Pterocles Alchata (Linnaeus, 1766) Bird
...Show More Authors

The current study was conducted on six adult males of the Iraqi pin-tailed sandgrouse, Pterocles alchata, to determine the histological structure of the kidneys. The results showed that each kidney consists of three lobes: cranial, middle, and caudal. Histological results showed that the kidneys consist of the cortex and the medullary, and the cortex forms the majority of the kidney, which consists of large and small renal corpuscles. Each renal corpuscle consists of the Bowman capsule, glomerulus, the proximal convoluted tubule, which is  lined with simple cuboidal epithelium tissue with a brush border, the distal convoluted tubules, and the collecting tubules, which are lined with simple cuboidal epithelium tissue. Electropolymerization of Limonene and Its Nanocomposites with ZnO and TiO2 to Protect Stainless Steel 304L Alloy from Corrosion in 3.5% NaCl Solution
...Show More Authors

The surface disintegration of metals and alloys in a particular surrounding environment is known as corrosion, in addition to its chemical qualities, corrosion processes change the physical and mechanical properties of a metal alloy. A new approach based on a unique material has been employed to prevent rusting. Conducting polymer-composites are material types that show promise for anticorrosion by electrochemical synthesis of polylimonene/metals oxide nanocomposite (ZnO,TiO2) on Stainless Steel 304L, which plays as the working electrode by using the electropolymerization technique. The synthesized coating polymer was characterized by Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy checkups.

A new class of silicone polymers was synthesized based on dichlorodi(methyl)silane (DCDMS) with some organic compounds [M1-M6] containing terminal hydroxyl groups previously synthesized by different chemical reactions, and their nanocomposites were synthesized using silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). All polymers were synthesized using condensation polymerization and characterized by FTIR and 1HNMR spectra. The biological activity of silicone polymer P5 was evaluated using different weights of silver nanoparticles (1%, 3%, 5%, and 7%) against Escherichia coli (Gram-negative) and Staphylococcus aureus (Gram-positive). The results showed that the higher the percentage of silver nanoparticles, up to 7%, t

Media studies have focused mostly on the issue of the mental image because the image that is formed in the mind has become not only a photo of a human being and having kept for himself. This image has an outside influence which may sometimes up to the formation of the fate of others and it sometimes includes individuals and groups together.
This study comes in the context of identifying the image of Iraqi political parties among Iraqi university students and the nature of the view that students have in their minds about these parties.
Chapter one includes the problem of the research, the importance of the study, the goals and method used. Chapter two is divided into two sections: section one deals with the concept of the mental i

This paper deals with the histological structure of the pseudobranch of mosquito fish (Gambusia holbrooki), which lives in an Iraqi environment. The laboratory placed the adult fish, both male and female, in a fishbowl. The head is fixed in solution Bouin′s aqueous; using the routine method that is colored with H&E stains. The microscopic slide observations show the pseudobranch in the adult is located in the cranial region on both sides of the head, It is a submerged type. The fish features some oval parts that are connected to each other by a thick connective tissue, forming a triangular cavity in the middle, and also features an irregular dashed line of melanophore. It bears resemblance to the respiratory gill

The urban landscape supporting psychological restoration A case study of the University of Baghdad-

The relationship between humans and nature has been deeply rooted since ancient times, embodying the concept of Biophilia—the innate affinity towards nature. The presence of restorative landscape features and restorative experiences of natural elements offers opportunities for relaxation and recovery from stress.

This paper aims to explore the concepts and approaches that enhance the restorative urban landscape and the experience of psychological restoration. It draws on theoretical foundations from the literature to frame the research problem, aligning with attention restoration theory (ART) scales.

The study hypothesizes that restorative landscape elements within the built environment can support the experience of psy

Most cultivars of sorghum have low field emergence as common problem. Three experiments were carried out at Agriculture College, Baghdad University. First experiment was conducted in laboratory according to Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four replicates. Second and third experiments were conducted at field according to Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) during the spring and the fall seasons of 2015, respectively, with four replicates for each one. Same two factors were studied at each experiment. First factor was seed priming by seed soaking for 10 hours in distilled water, solvents of GA3, KCl and thiamine (300, 40 and 30 mg*L-1, respectively) and non-primed seed. Second factor was three cultivars of sorghum (Inqath, Kafier an

The extraction of water bodies maps using remote sensing and GIS is a crucial aspect of environmental monitoring and management. Remote sensing technology, such as satellite imagery and aerial photography, allows for the collection of data on water bodies from a large spatial scale, while GIS enables the analysis and visualization of this data in a spatial context. This combination of technologies has revolutionized how water bodies are mapped and monitored, providing valuable information for a wide range of applications, including water resource management, environmental impact assessment, and disaster management. By using several techniques, such as unsupervised classification and the water index methods like normalized difference wate

Idioms are a very important part of the English language: you are told that if you want to go far (succeed) you should pull your socks up (make a serious effort to improve your behaviour, the quality of your work, etc.) and use your grey matter (brain).1 Learning and translating idioms have always been very difficult for foreign language learners. The present paper explores some of the reasons why English idiomatic expressions are difficult to learn and translate. It is not the aim of this paper to attempt a comprehensive survey of the vast amount of material that has appeared on idioms in Adams and Kuder (1984), Alexander (1984), Dixon (1983), Kirkpatrick (2001), Langlotz (2006), McCarthy and O'Dell (2002), and Wray (2002), among others
