This study is to investigate the salivary levels of soluble cluster of differentiation 16b (sCD16b) and alpha defensin, which are biomarkers of neutrophil activation in patients with periodontal diseases, and to examine the correlation between these levels and clinical periodontal parameters. Assessment of wind resources is an important issue in the wind industry. This study aims to assess wind energy in southern Iraq, especially in the Ali Al-Gharbi region. It includes field data for the wind speed at two altitudes (30 and 50m) in 2017, using the Weibull Distribution, wind power density and wind energy density equations. The probability density distribution of mean wind speed and daily, monthly, and seasonal wind speeds were calculated. The monthly mean wind power density and wind energy density at heights (30 and 50m) were estimated. The suitable wind turbine in this study area was the Unison U50. The capacity factor was assessed. In this work, gold/ titanium oxide: cadmium sulfide (Au/TiO₂:CdS) thin film nanocomposites as photocatalysts were synthesized using the sol-gel technique and deposited on glass substrates using the dipping method for the degradation of Methylene Blue (MB) dye in water. The CdS doping with TiO2 at ratios 1:1, 0.25, and 0.5 wt%. Au/TiO₂: CdS thin film characterization was achieved using X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman spectroscopy, field effect electron scanning microscopy (FESEM), and UV-Vis spectroscopy. In the present study twenty samples of human urine were taken
from healthy male and female with different of: ages, occupation and
place of residence. These samples were collected from the hospital to
measure the concentration of radon gas in human urine by using one
of solid state nuclear track detectors LR-115.
The results obtained of the concentrations of radon in healthy human
urine are varying from 2.12×10-3 Bq.l-1 to 4.42×10-3 Bq.l-1 and
these values are less than the allowed limits 12.3×10-3 Bq.l-1.
