This research was designed to study the effect of water and alcoholic crude extracts of Calvatia craniiformis in vitro and in vivo On the other hand this study tested the toxic effect of both extracts in normal laboratory mice. The results showed that water and alcoholic extracts relatively have an acute toxic effect in mice in respect to LD50 (85 mg/kg, and 177mg/kg respectively).  The performance of the Indian wheat varieties (PBW34, PBW343 and WH542) was compared with the local varieties (Tamose – 2 and Abu Ghareeb).      The experiment was conducted during two seasons first 2000-2001 and second 2001-2002 at AL- Twaitha experimental station , middle of Iraq.         The results showed that (Tamose – 2) exceeded the other varieties in plant height and heading date in the two seasons, while WH542 gave the lowest plant height.  PBW34 variety showed a significant increase in 1000 grain weight followed by PBW343 in the second season. Twenty four dogs aged 3 years were used during the periods from 1/2/2015-1/2/2016. In the present work, it had been measured the concentration of radon gas (C_Rn) for (10) samples of cement used in constructions before and after painting them using enamel paint, purchased from the local markets, to see the extent of its ability to reduce emissions of Rn-222 in the air. These samples were obtained from different sources available in the local markets in Baghdad and other provinces. The measurements were done by the American-made detector (RAD7).
