The inhibitory activity of the extracted and nano-betaglucan compound was estimated against pathogenic bacteria, as the average diameter of the inhibition zone at a concentration of 200 mg/mL gave the highest inhibitory activity for all types of isolates with significant differences at a probability level (P≤0.05), of which we singled out of Gram-positive bacteria when converting it into a nanocomposite. Branchiomycosis is a fungal disease that infects fish gills. It was
identified by isolation and histopathological changes of examined gills in
common carp fish (Cyprinus carpio) which, were obtained from fish farm in
Duhok Governorate, Iraq. The infected fish were suffering from respiratory
disorders; gulping air at the water surface, rapid movement of operculum and
massive mortality, which resulted in the loss of 95% of fish pond. The gills
appear marbled appearance with necrotic areas on the localized damage gills.

Adsorbents like kaolin, magnesium carbonate, and microcrystalline cellulose were used successfully to incorporate oily alpha-tocopherol acetate into an acceptable powder dosage form. The results revealed that microcrystalline cellulose as an adsorbents gave the best results with 50% loading capacity at time, 8 minutes before and after incubation period (3 months at 30C°), while kaolin and magnesium carbonate have been shown a significant difference before and after incubation. An experimental investigation was conducted to study the various parameters affecting the production of oxalic acid by the action of concentrated nitric acid on carbohydrates. Two feedstocks were studied, viz., dates fruit and dates syrup. The study also covered the effect of the amount of nitric acid and catalyst used in addition to employing two acid concentrations (67 wt.% and 98 wt.% acid). The results showed that when using 67 wt.% nitric acid, dates syrup was best suited as a raw material. And the best amount of nitric acid and V₂O, catalyst were in the ratio of 150 mls: 25 mg per 50 g feedstock.
