An alternative approach of clipping is presented, where the clipping is performed right after the IFFT stage unlike the conventional clipping that is performed in the power amplifier stage, which causes undesirable out of signal band spectral growth. In the proposed method, there is clipping of samples not clipping of wave, therefore, the spectral distortion is avoided. Coding is required to correct the errors introduced by the clipping and the overall system is tested for two types of modulations, the QPSK as a constant amplitude modul

High Performance Concrete (HPC) is considered as one of the most important products known by the construction industries during the last years in the field of producing new and improved types of concrete. This new type of concrete has an essential importance due to its high compressive strength, superior resistance for external salt attack and its low permeability. This paper is concerned with experimental investigations for evaluation of high performance concrete using a new type, locally available pozzolan. The results are compared with that obtained from using well known micro silica. The experimental
work also includes the possibility of activation in order to improve the quality of HPC; the experiments mainly deal with the chemic

A tangent approach is used to determine the modulus of subgrade reaction after constructing a second degree equation for load-deflection diagram. Results of plate loading test of soil obtained in Iraq were used in the analysis. An iterative approach is used for solving the nonlinear problem until the convergence of the solution. The method of analysis, as programmed for a computer solution, considers the continuous elastic, nonlinear foundation to be active only when the beam is pressing against the foundation. The analysis is performed according to Rayleigh – Ritz method. This method as well as an approximate modeling technique were attempted to estimate the natural frequencies for the shell. Through out the obtained results it is found that this method predicted fairly well the natural frequencies of a prolate spheroidal shell for all values of eccentricities.
