In the present study, Phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) activity was detected in different parts of grape plant (leaves, pulp, whole seeds and defatted seeds) extracts. The results revealed that the whole seed possess highest PAL activity (69.44 U), followed by defatted seed (44.22 U), whereas extracts of leaves and pulp gave the lowest activity values (22.77 and 5.11 U, respectively). The optimum conditions for crude PAL extraction achieved using 50mM potassium phosphate buffer (pH 7) at mixing ratios of (1:7) for 1 h. extraction time. Here we report for the first time the presence of Apoleptomastix bicoloricornis (Girault, 1915) (Hymenoptera, Encyrtidae), as parasitoid of the rice mealybug, Brevennia rehi (Lindinger, 1943) (Hemiptera, Psedococcidae) in Iraq. Brief notes are provided in distinguishing the parasitoid from other closely allied species.

Experiments were carried out to study the local and average heat transfer by natural convection in
a vertical concentric cylindrical annulus. The experimental setup consists of an annulus has a radius ratio
of 0.555 and inner cylinder with a heated length 1.2m subjected to the constant heat flux while the outer
cylinder is subjected to the ambient temperature. The investigation covers heat flux range from 58.2
W/m2
to 274.31 W/m2
. Results show an increase in the natural convection as heat flux increases leads to

Three types of medical commercial creams Silvazine, Cinolon Tar and Hydroquinon Domina were incorporated in this study. The medical creams were taken directly and placed uniformly on the glass slide. Each type of pharmaceutical was weighed at 1 mg and dispersed on an area of 1x1 cm. This process ensures same thickness for all samples.
