كثر الناقلون عن ابن معين لأقواله في الجرح والتعديل وغيرها، وكان ناقلو أقواله إما مقبولي القول عنه وإما غير ذلك. وقد اشترط العلماء لصحة قبول القول عن الإمام في الجرح والتعديل أهليّة ناقل القول عنه. لذا توجه البحث في حصر وبيان هؤلاء الناقلين الضعفاء ومن في حكمهم لأقوال الإمام يحيى بن معين. مع نماذج من المقارنة بين الناقلين من الفريقين في الرّواة.
