BACKGROUND: Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common type of thyroid carcinoma that represents a set of characteristic of nuclear features in which the diagnosis is depend. AIM: The study aimed to review different variants of PTC which has different malignant potential in correlation with many prognostic and clinical factors in Iraq. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Paraffin blocks of 227 cases of PTC were selected, subtyped, and grouped according to the malignant potential. The prognostic and clinical factors were studied. RESULTS: The mean age was (39.29 ± 12.17) years, with female predominance (86.3%), where (55.5%) of them below 40 years, conventional variant was most common (40.1%), followed by papillary microcarcinoma

An aromatic ester containing two azo groups namely p-nitro phenyl azo-β-naphthyl-(4'-azobenzoic acid)-4-benzoate was synthesized by esterfiaction of 4,4'-azo dibenzoic acid with p-nitro phenyl azo-β-naphthol. Synthesized ester was characterized by CHN-Elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. A modified PVA polymer was obtained by grafting 10 g of PVA-polymer via partial esterification with (2, 3, 4 g) p-nitro phenyl azo-1-naphthyl-4-azobenzoic acid)-4-azo benzoate. Grafting PVA-polymer behaviours was studied, by physical measurements (solubility, swelling), thermal properties (DSC) and tensile.
Printed Arabic document image retrieval is a very important and needed system for many companies, governments and various users. In this paper, a printed Arabic document images retrieval system based on spotting the header words of official Arabic documents is proposed. The proposed system uses an efficient segmentation, preprocessing methods and an accurate proposed feature extraction method in order to prepare the document for classification process. Besides that, Support Vector Machine (SVM) is used for classification. The experiments show the system achieved best results of accuracy that is 96.8% by using polynomial kernel of SVM classifier.

Many academics have concentrated on applying machine learning to retrieve information from databases to enable researchers to perform better. A difficult issue in prediction models is the selection of practical strategies that yield satisfactory forecast accuracy. Traditional software testing techniques have been extended to testing machine learning systems; however, they are insufficient for the latter because of the diversity of problems that machine learning systems create. Hence, the proposed methodologies were used to predict flight prices. A variety of artificial intelligence algorithms are used to attain the required, such as Bayesian modeling techniques such as Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), Adaptive boosting (ADA), Decision Tre

A mathematical model is developed to discuss the impact of the Hall current and the Joule heating on the peristaltic flux of finitely extensible nonlinear elastic Peterlin (FENE-P) fluid in a tapered tube with mild stenosis. The fluid movement along the wall surface resulted from the sinusoidal wave flowing with constant speed. Conditions of velocity and thermal slip are applied. Lubrication approximation is adopted to modify the governing flow problem. To discover the solution to a system of equations, the regular perturbation approach is used. The effects of the different physical parameters are debated and graphically shown in a set of figures. It is discovered that as the Hall current parameter is increased and the Hartman n

Transverse river profile analysis is derived quantifiable and comparable parameters such as neotectonic index (Eh*Ln), Eh, Ch, and Bs. These parameters are useful to detect the morphotectonic indicators of Shatt Al-Arab basin. This study investigates the impact of agricultural investment policy—represented by agricultural loans and investment allocations—on rice crop production in Iraq over the period 2003–2023, employing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. Using time-series econometric analysis, the study confirms a short-term positive and statistically significant effect of financial support on rice output, while revealing statistically insignificant long-term effects. The presence of a cointegration relationship suggests long-term equilibrium between agricultural policy variables and rice production. However, the absence of causality in the Yamamoto-Toda test implies that structural and institutional inefficiencies may dilute the long-term i

Peutz-Jeghers syndrome is a rare genetic disorder resulting from defects in signaling pathway regulation, marked by gastrointestinal hamartomas and mucocutaneous pigmentation. This condition can lead to complications such as intussusception, with colocolic intussusception being particularly rare. We present the case of a 30-year-old female who exhibited acute on chronic abdominal pain and progressive distension, along with digital and perioral hyperpigmentation. Unfortunately, her diagnosis of Peutz-Jeghers syndrome was delayed until she developed intestinal obstruction. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor is a widely studied neurotrophins found throughout the mammalian central nervous system. These neurotrophins regulate numerous aspects of neuronal and oligodendroglia development and function, including axonal growth, synaptic plasticity, differentiation, proliferation, survival, and apoptosis. Brain-derived neurotrophic factors have a significant impact on neurodegenerative disorders, synaptic plasticity, and the formation and maintenance of a normal brain circuit. Precise regulation of Brain-derived neurotrophic factor concentrations, including their controlled release at the transcriptional and translational levels, is essential for the correct functioning of the central nervous system. This cannot, however, be a reason for not using the GPS, and in order to enhance the reliability, a parallel combination of the modern system and traditional methods simultaneously can be applied.
