The nonlinear optical properties of Epoxy/Alumina Nanocomposites

Linear and nonlinear optical properties of epoxy/ Al2O3 nanocomposites system were studied for epoxy neat and (0.5, 1.5, 3, and 5) % Al2O3 nanocomposites.The band gap of epoxy and its nanocomposites was obtained at these weight ratios. Nonlinear optical properties experiments were performed using Q-switched Nd:YAG laser z-scan system.These experiments were carried out for different parameters: wavelengths (1064 nm and 532 nm), laser intensities (0.530, 0.679, and 0.772) GW/cm2 and weight ratio of Al2O3 nanocomposites. Lotka-Volterra Model with Prey-Predators Food Chain

In this work, we consider a modification of the Lotka-Volterra food chain model of three species, each of them is growing logistically. We found that the model has eight equilibrium points, four of them always exist, while the rest exist under certain conditions. In terms of stability, we found that the system has five unstable equilibrium points, while the rest points are locally asymptotically stable under certain satisfying conditions. Finally, we provide an example to support the theoretical results.

Basin or Intrusion, a New Method to Resolve Non-Uniqueness in Gravity Interpretation

The aim of the current paper is to resolve the non-uniqueness in gravity interpretation through searching for singular points in the gravity field that are coincide with causative body vertices. The Absolute Second Horizontal Gradient (ASHG) method is used to locate the horizontal reference location of the body, while its amplitude could be used to define body corner depth. Intelligent use of the ASHG method could help in differentiating between basin and intrusion structures from their gravity effect and could facilitate the interpretation in forward modeling and constrain inversion modeling to maximum limit. Tracking the existence of PAH in water resources around and away from Al-Ahdab Oil Field in Wasit Governorate of Iraq

Some major pollutants of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) those discharged as water produced (WP) from the AlAhdab oil field (AOF) in the ponds close to it may leak to the water resources around and eventually reaches the marshes which will affect its ecosystem. Thus, this work aims to track the availability of PAH in the water resources and the Main Outfall Drain (MOD) nearby. The determination of PAH was evaluated using “High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)”. The calculation is obtained with easily computed components without any restrictive assumptions

In this paper methods are developed to construct a system of linear/nonlinear equations of key generator (a LFSR's system) where the effect of combining (Boolean) function of LFSR is obvious. Investigation of Nonlinear Optical Characteristics of the Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT's) Suspensions using Nonlinear Self-Diffraction of a Laser Beam

Nonlinear diffraction patterns can be obtained by focusing a laser beam through a thin slice of the material. Here, we investigated experimentally the formation of the far field nonlinear diffraction patterns of cw laser beam at 532 nm passing through a quartz cuvette containing multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT's) suspended in acetone and in DI water at concentrations of 0.030.wt.%, 0.045 wt.%, 0.060 wt.%, and 0.075 wt.%. Our results show that increasing the concentration of both types of suspensions (MWCNTs in acetone and MWCNTs DI water) led to increase in the number of pattern rings which indicates an increase in their nonlinear refractive indices. Design of an Optimal Integral Backstepping Controller for a Quadcopter

In this paper, an Integral Backstepping Controller (IBC) is designed and optimized for full control, of rotational and translational dynamics, of an unmanned Quadcopter (QC). Before designing the controller, a mathematical model for the QC is developed in a form appropriate for the IBC design.
