WiMax Network Design and Simulation for Middle Technical University Campus Using OPNET Modeler
...Show More Authors

This study aims to build a wireless computer network for a large company or university to enhance mobility and allow university users to stay connected at any time or place, which is achieved by applying the Universal Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMax) technology. WiMax is based on the 802.16 sets of standards and has the most efficient and advanced hardware capabilities to meet the demands of teachers and students to browse the web or download files quickly. OPNET Modeler version 14.5 was used to determine the quality of service parameters of WiMax.

Estimating the Reliability Function of some Stress- Strength Models for the Generalized Inverted Kumaraswamy Distribution
...Show More Authors

This paper discusses reliability of the stress-strength model. The reliability functions 𝑅1 and 𝑅2 were obtained for a component which has an independent strength and is exposed to two and three stresses, respectively. We used the generalized inverted Kumaraswamy distribution GIKD with unknown shape parameter as well as known shape and scale parameters. The parameters were estimated from the stress- strength models, while the reliabilities 𝑅1, 𝑅2 were estimated by three methods, namely the Maximum Likelihood,  Least Square, and Regression.

A numerical simulation study a comparison between the three estimators by mean square error is performed. It is found that best estimator between

Evaluation of the Potentials for Adapting the Multistage Hydraulic Fracturing Technology in Tight Carbonate Reservoir
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Hydraulic fracturing is considered to be a vital cornerstone in decision making of unconventional reservoirs. With an increasing level of development of unconventional reservoirs, many questions have arisen regarding enhancing production performance of tight carbonate reservoirs, especially the evaluation of the potential for adapting multistage hydraulic fracturing technology in tight carbonate reservoirs to attain an economic revenue.</p><p>In this paper we present a feasibility study of multistage fractured horizontal well in typical tight carbonate reservoirs covering different values of permeability. We show that NPV is the suitable objective function for deciding on the optimum number</p> ... Show More

The Operator S(a,b;θ_x ) for the Polynomials Z_n (x,y,a,b;q)
...Show More Authors

In this work, we give an identity that leads to establishing the operator . Also, we introduce the polynomials . In addition, we provide Operator proof for the generating function with its extension and the Rogers formula for . The generating function with its extension and the Rogers formula for the bivariate Rogers-Szegö polynomials  are deduced. The Rogers formula for  allows to obtain the inverse linearization formula for , which allows to deduce the inverse linearization formula for . A solution to a q-difference equation is introduced and the solution is expressed in terms of the operators . The q-difference method is used to recover an identity of the operator  and the generating function for the polynomials

Band Gap Energy for SiC Thin Films Prepared By TEACO2 Laser Irradiated With Nuclear Radiation
...Show More Authors

The effect of high energy radiation on the energy gap of compound semiconductor Silicon Carbide (SiC) are viewed. Emphasis is placed on those effects which can be interpreted in terms of energy levels. The goal is to develop semiconductors operating at high temperature with low energy gaps by induced permanent damage in SiC irradiated by gamma source. TEACO2 laser used for producing SiC thin films. Spectrophotometer lambda - UV, Visible instrument is used to determine energy gap (Eg). Co-60, Cs-137, and Sr-90 are used to irradiate SiC samples for different time of irradiation. Possible interpretation of the changing in Eg values as the time of irradiation change is discussed
