The silver nanoparticles were prepared by reduction method and were characterized and analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Atomic force microscope (AFM). However, inhibition of host sphingolipid biosynthesis had no significant effect on amastigote proliferation within a macrophage cell line.
