In this research a local adsorbent was prepared from waste tires using two-step pyrolysis method. In the carbonization process, nitrogen gas flow rate was 0.2L/min at carbonization temperature of 500ºC for 1h. The char products were then preceded to the activation process at 850°C under carbon dioxide (CO2) activation flow rate of 0.6L/min for 3h. The activation method produced local adsorbent material with a surface area and total pore volume as high as 118.59m2 /g and 0.1467cm3/g, respectively. The produced . local adsorbent (activated carbon) was used for adsorption of lead from aqueous solution. The continuous fixed bed column experiments were conducted. effective  dose  was  (0.05)  mM.  Different  concentration  of acetylcholine and KCI caused tonic contraction in this kind of smooth muscle. High concentration of papaverine caused inst<mt relaxation in acetylcholine or Kcl- excited muscle. The inhibitory effect of the drug resul ted from the reduction of the available  free calcium and caused relaxation.

Objectives:   To   identify   child  or  family  related  risk  factors   for

unintentional childhood  poisoning in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq  and to suggest

possible causes and preventive measures.

Methods: This is an epidemiological description and a case-control study. The study was undertaken in Sulaymani ,in 2004-2005. Cases were 200 children who were admitted to the hospital for treatment of poisoning. For every case two controls  were selected. Al l   parents of the children were interviewed  by  using a  questionnaire  that  incl uded  demographic  and poisoning characteristic information.<

المقدمة:الارتجاع المريئي هو اضطراب معدي مريئي شائع لدى البالغين ، وهو يتطور عندما ترجع محتويات المعدة وترتفع إلى المريء نتيجة خلل في العضلة العاصرة السفلية للمريء. تم إجراء عدد قليل جدًا من الدراسات حول حجم الارتجاع المريئي في مجتمع الطلاب. هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد مدى انتشار مرض ارتجاع المريء لدى عينة من طلاب كلية  الطب /جامعة بغداد وعوامل الخطورة المحتملة المرتبطة به.

   In the present work , radon concentration was measured indoor buildings in the College of Education for Pure Science/ Ibn Al- Haitham University of Baghdad using detector (CR-39) by counting track of alpha  resulting from decay series of uranium on the detectors which have exposure to air inside the rooms for (30) days , have been applied the equation (1) and (2) to calculate concentrations of Radon and the results showed that all samples were within the allowable range globally except two samples F1 and F2 where concentrations were (445.868Bq/m³) and (436.791Bq/m³) respectively , they were higher than allowable range globally which was (200-300) Bq/m³ recorded by (ICRP) [1] .

       The present study conducted on 30 female patients with osteoarthritis OA a attending Baghdad teaching hospital, in addition to 30 healthy females, all subjects were (35-65) year's old .Parameters were measured in the sera of patients group and healthy groups were interleukin -8 (IL-8) and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP).The results revealed a higher significant in all parameters of patients sera compared to healthy groups. With the spread of new applications, efficient scheduling algorithms are mandatory to handle the allocation of the limited spectrum resources to various types of traffic and to guarantee the requirements of the quality of service and the quality of experience informed by users. In this paper several scheduling algorithms specifically Round Robin, Best Channel Quality Indicator, Proportional Fair, Modified Largest Weighted Delay First, Exponential Proportional Fair, and Logarithm Rule are evaluated and their performances are compared to each other.
