Cu2SnS3 Thin Films Deposited via Automated Spray Pyrolysis System for Solar Collectors Applications
...Show More Authors

Copper tin sulfide (CTS) thin films were deposited on glass substrates using the spray pyrolysis technique. The solution mixture was sprayed onto the glass substrate at 310°C. The CTS thin films have a monoclinic crystal structure based on XRD analysis. FTIR confirmed Cu, Sn, and S chemical bonding, whereas the Scherrer formula predicted nanoscale particle size. The AFM analysis revealed a surface roughness measurement of 42 nm. Substrates coated with CTS film showed uniformity, which revealed the coated surface shape and design. A precise measurement of the substrate temperature was made. EDX confirmed Cu-Sn-S composition. For solar collector applications, thin films deposited in CTS were treated with a blue laser source with a 405 nm

Determination of the Dispersion Profile in Photonic Crystal Fibers using the Empirical Relationship
...Show More Authors

In this work, a single-mode endless photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is proposed and theoretically analysed using the empirical relationship method. The designed PCFs are composed of three uniform rings of air holes arranged in a circular shape. Three samples of fibers (PCFsPure, PCFsdoped1 and PCFsdoped2) with the same structure but are only different in the material of core have been investigated. The guiding properties of PCFs are studied in terms of effective refractive index, confinement loss and dispersion profile. The numerical results show that the PCFsdoped2 exhibits good properties such as high refractive index, low confinement loss and red shifting in th

Theoretical Study of Improving Radiotherapy at High Energies (2-15) MeV for Lung Cancer using Nanocomposites
...Show More Authors

In this research shows how radiation therapy can be improved and developed using different structures of glucose molecules (α‐D glucose) C6H12O6 and C12H24O12 after adsorption on silver nanoparticles-AgNPs surface. This is by enhancing the radiation sensitivity (SER) of cancer cells in the human lung and meanwhile preserving the healthy cells surrounding the tumour itself. The primary role of AgNPs is as radiosensitizers that work to increase the absorbed dose of radiation in the presence of nanocomposites. Using a mathematical model to calculate the number of cancer cells remaining when exposed to radiation doses, where radiation sensitivity of C6H12

Investigating a Filtered Feedback Weight in the Output Signal to Simulate a Self-learning Layer in an Optical Neural Network
...Show More Authors

An edge-emitting semiconductor laser (SL) source with a wavelength of 1310 nm is used experimentally to follow a transmitted signal that is subject to selected modifications. SL maximum measured optical power was -11 dBm at a temperature of 24oC, which is configured as a chaotic influencer semiconductor laser (ISL) in a unit of an optical neural network. The weight of the sent signal, after division, is controlled by two uniform Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) with slightly different periods. In addition, the feedback strength is changed by two radio frequency attenuators. The passing signal via these two filters is detected and summed again before being directly modulated and re-injected to the ISL again via the bias current. The results co

Effect of Aluminum Dust Particles on Plasma Parameters at Different Gas Pressure with Different Dust Contents
...Show More Authors

In this work, the effect of aluminum (Al) dust particles on the DC discharge plasma properties in argon was investigated. A magnetron is placed behind the cathode at different pressures and with varying amounts of Al. The plasma temperature (Te) and density (ne) were calculated using the Boltzmann equation and Stark broadening phenomena, which are considered the most important plasma variables through which the other plasma parameters were calculated. The measurements showed that the emission intensity decreases with increasing pressure from 0.06 to 0.4 Torr, and it slightly decreases with the addition of the NPs. The calculations showed that the ne increased and Te d
