Structural and Optical Properties for Zn Doped CdO Thin Films Prepared by Pulse Laser deposition
...Show More Authors

In this work, the effect of Zn dopant on structural and optical properties of cadmium oxides, CdO, thin film were studied prepared by pulse laser deposition on glass substrate then annealed at 250 ᵒC in air. All films were examined by X-ray diffraction and UV- visible spectrometer. The XRD analysis shows  appearance of  new phase identical with hexagonal ZnO additional with cubic phase at high Zn content, which effected on the optical properties. The optical energy gap increase from 2.45 eV to 2.70 eV with increasing  Zn content  from 0 to 40 %.

Evolution of Antibacterial Activity of Various Solvents Extracts of Annona Squamosa Fruit
...Show More Authors

This research project was designed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of three different portions (pulp, peel, seeds) of Annona squamosa fruit using three different extraction solvents (water, ethanol, and acetone). The experiment performed by using agar well diffusion method against Gram-positive human pathogenic bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative bacteria, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli and each organism showed different patterns of inhibition zones. Antibacterial activity of various solvent extracts of the pulp showed noticeable inhibitory activity against almost all the tested pathogens except K. pneumoniae who was resistant to water extract of pulp

...Show More Authors

This study was conducted for the period from 1/9/2016 to 30/3/2017 in Baquba city in Iraq. Eighty nine samples were collected from different infections from Baquba General Hospital and Al-Batool Hospital. Fifteen isolates (16.85%) were found to be Pseudomonas aeruginosa by using biochemical test. The bacterial diagnosis of all these isolates (100%) were confirmed by VITEK2, beside its possession of the 16s rDNA gene as determined by molecular detection.

The results of virulence factors that had Pseudomonas aeruginosa showed possession of all isolates many virulence factors and a high production of which increases the pathogenicity of it. All isolates were able to produce hemolysin (100%), protease (73.33%), and

Proposed Method of Air Traffic Routing in Dynamic Environment Usiing Modifed rrt With Collision Avoid Nace
...Show More Authors

In the current Airlines Air Traffic Management (ATM), the Air Traffic Control Operators (ATCO), with the Air Traffic Control systems (ATC), operate air traffic paths with a small number of fixed routes. Problems of fixed routes appear such that even when they reduce the chance for conflict, they also produce flight paths plans that do not reduce flight time or fuel usage. In nowadays Airlines are heavily overloaded and anxious to minimize the aircrafts fuel usage costs, increase airplanes, and optimize the paths or the flight routes in order to find the most optimal suitable flight paths. This paper presents a new path planning method that deal with such problem effectively, the idea was to produce flights routes

The Association of Severe Toxoplasmosis and Some Cytokine Levels in Breast Cancer Patients
...Show More Authors

Toxoplasma gondii is an opportunistic pathogen in which the reactivation of a latent infection can cause death in congenitally infected fetuses, newborns, and immunocompromised patients. This study aimed to determine the seropositivity of toxoplasmosis infection and the possible association with Interleukin-12 (IL-12) and Interleukin-23 (IL-23) cytokines in breast cancer patients. In this study, 190 women were enrolled. All serum samples were tested for T. gondii immunoglobulins (IgG and IgM) antibodies and (IL-12, IL-23) levels using ELISA technique. The result of this study showed that breast cancer patients recorded the highest percentage of toxoplasmosis infection. There were no positivity rates for anti- Toxopl

Because of Citrobacter freundii medical and economical importance and that there are only little local studies about it, this study aimed to isolate and identify this important bacterial species from others that have a similar biochemical and morphological characteristics. Twenty five chicken meat samples were collected randomly from local markets in Baghdad city during 2017; Citrobacter was isolated from the collected samples using selective and differential media and identified using biochemical tests, the identification was confirmed using Vitek 2 compact and polymerase chain reaction for 16S rRNA and the isolated bacteria identified as C. freundii.

Assessment the effect of non-thermal plasma on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus biofilm formtion in vitro

Biofilm formation represents one of the biggest problems facing scientists because of this phenomenon linkage with virulence of bacteria and other clinical environmental problems. In the present study, two clinical isolates,
Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus were exposed to the non thermal plasma for different intervals of time (1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 min). The biofilm was measured post exposing. It was found that 2 min. exposing to non-thermal plasma reduced the biofilm formation by both clinical isolates significantly. It can be concluded that the ability of S. aureus to form biofilm higher than E. coli and exposing for 2 min to non-thermal plasma sufficient to reduce the biofilm formati

In this contribution new oxazepine compounds containing azo group were preppared. In the firststep,4-(dimethylamino)-3-((4-methoxy phenyl) diazenyl) benzaldehyde [Z] was synthesised by using 4-methoxyaniline. The second step was the condensation reaction between aldehyde group of the azo compound [Z] and
different primary aromatic amines [4-hydroxyaniline, 4-chloroaniline and 4-amino- N-(pyrimidin-2-yl) benzenesulfonamide] to yield new azo Schiff bases compounds [A1-A3] respectively. In the final step, oxazepine compounds [B1-B3] and [B4-B6] were prepared from reaction imines compounds [A1-A3] with maleic anhydride and phathalic anhydride in dry benzene respectively. Study Antibacterial Activity of Honey Against Some Common Species of Pathogenic Bacteria
...Show More Authors

Honey is one of the most products has been used as an antimicrobial agent since the ancient times. The potential antimicrobial activity of honey is arise from its physiochemical proprieties such as high osmotic pressure, low pH, in addition to other factors and enzymes that work as antimicrobial agents. All these components and characteristics of honey led to consider it as one of the most efficient, useful and natural antimicrobial agents. From this point of view, recent study aim to evaluate the antibacterial activity of bee honey on some common species of pathogenic bacteria. The study included some of both gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Streptococcus spp.)

The Effect of Gamma Irradiation on the Optical Constants of (HDPE-PP) Blends
...Show More Authors

The influence of gamma radiation and blend ratio on the optical constants (refractive index (n), extinction coefficient (k), and real & imaginary parts of dielectric constants (C) & (C)) for high density polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) blends using the transmittance and reflectance spectra have been discussed. For unirradiated samples the results showed that (n) increases in rich PP sample while (k) declared strong dependence on blends ratio and revealed systematie variation. It was found that (n) increases as a result of irradiation by gamma-ray with doses (80 and 240) kGy indicating that polymer chain crosslinking is the dominate phenomena, while for irradiation with dose 160 kGy (n) is found to decrease indicating that

Relative intensity to the single peaks and true sum peaks to the elements of cascading decay of gamma-rays as Co and "y have been measured for different point source detector distances by using 33 Nal(Tl) detector into two different methods. These methods give a good information to distinguish between single and true sum peaks especially in analysis a complex puise height spectrum; where the relative intensity for true sum peak varies with source detector distance while it is independent for single peak. The results of two the methods are in fair agreement.
