The triggering effect for the face pumping of Nd:YVO₄ disc medium of 4×5×0.5 mm was investigated using bulk diode laser at different resonator cavity length in pulse mode and at repetition rate of 1.3kHz. The maximum emitted peak power was found to be 100, 82, and 66 mW for resonator lengths of 10, 13.5, and 17.5 cm respectively, while the threshold pumping power was found to be 41mW. The maximum emitted peak power obtained was 300 mW when using external triggering and 10cm length, with repetition of 3Hz.

Metal nanoparticles (NPs) of silver (Ag), copper (Cu), zinc oxide (ZnO), cadmium oxide (CdO) and tin (Sn) were synthesized by laser ablation of a solid target in de-ionized water (DI). X-ray diffraction patterns showed the formation of AgO, Ag, Cu, ZnO, CdO, and Sn NPs. Absorbance spectrum of the produced nanoparticles was measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer which showed that Ag and CdO NPs shifted to the short wavelength (blue shift), indicating the formation of NPs with smaller sizes, whereas CuO showed the formation two peaks. ZnO and Sn NPs shifted to the long wavelength (red shift) which indicates the formation NPs with  larger size. A simple straightforward mathematical method has been developed to cluster grid nodes on a boundary segment of an arbitrary geometry that can be fitted by a relevant polynomial. The method of solution is accomplished in two steps. At the first step, the length of the boundary segment is evaluated by using the mean value theorem, then grids are clustered as desired, using relevant linear clustering functions. At the second step, as the coordinates cell nodes have been computed and the incremental distance between each two nodes has been evaluated, the original coordinate of each node is then computed utilizing the same fitted polynomial with the mean value theorem but reversibly.
