Background: Propolis has received great interest because of its wide range antimicrobial activity. Propolis also called (bee glue) due to its collection by (Apismellifera) honeybees from various plants resinous substance. The aim of this study was to determine the antibacterial effect of propolis extracts (aqueous and alcoholic) on anaerobic periodontal pathogen namely Aggregatibacteractinomycetemcomitans. Materials and Methods: Strains of Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans wasisolated from pockets of systemically healthy patients aged between 35-55 years old suffering from chronic periodontitis with pocket depths of 5-6 mm, the bacteria cultured on special blood Agar plates solid media. Propolis was extracted by using water and alcohol.

  A total  of 320  samples  of vaginal  swabs  was  obtained  from  women complaining of vaginal infection and attending two hospitals in Al-Sader city, Baghdad, namely Ibn AlBaladi Hospital for Pediatrics and Gynecology and Fatimat Al-Zahraa Hospital for Obstetrics in Al-Habibia district during the period from Desember 1997 till July 1998. Results of direct smear and culture showed  that Trichomonas vaginalis infection occurred in 19.1%, in addition to some microorganisms. Background:  There is a strong desire of adolescent to have a peer group and to be appreciated and also to become a member of this group which can affect one each other. There for; encourage, adapting,and imitating of friends and group consider as the main reasons behind starting of smoking among youngsters. Smoking habits in the family were found tobe acause of smoking pressure among adolescentas peer pressure. Smoking habit may be started before 18 years of age in most adult smokers.

Ninety five samples were collected from different samples (urine, ear and wounds swaps), from hospitals in Baghdad city. The results of cultural, microscopic , biochemical tests indicated that in urine samples E.coli have high occurrence frequency 19 (47.5%) followed by Proteus mirabilis 18(45%) and Klebsiella species 1 (2.5%), while in wounds samples each of Pseudomonas spp. and Proteus mirabilis 10 (25%) , then followed by E.coli with 5 (12.5%) and Klebsiella species 3 (7.5%).
