Nonparametric statistical study for the crime motives on a sample of inmates in Khartoum State prisons

The aim of the research was to investigate the use of non-parametric tests in the analysis of the questionnaire and how to choose the appropriate test for testing the hypothesis of the study of crime motives in Khartoum State. The data were collected through the primary sources by designing a questionnaire and distributed to a sample of inmates in Khartoum state; the data were analysis by SPSS program using the analytical statistical method through using some of the suitable non-parametric tests for each case. The most important results of the research were: there was significant relationship between the type of crime and the age group therefore, we found that the age group (20-29) was the most frequent crime particularly, the financial crime. The existence of a statistical relationship between the type of crime and the education level, we found that the illiterate are the most frequent crime of drunk and drugs, the existence of a statistical relationship between the type of crime and the social situation, where we find that the married was the most frequent crime, especially vulnerable. Also the results of the study revealed that there were significant differences for each of the economic, psychological and social factors for committing the crime due to gender, whereas females were the most affected by these factors. Finally there were significant differences in the crime motives due to the (economic, psychological and social factor), so there were significant differences between the economic factor and the psychological factor in favor of the psychological, and between the social factor and the psychological factor in favor of the psychological.

Parametric Study of Mixed Convective Radiative Heat Transfer in an Inclined Annulus

The steady state laminar mixed convection and radiation through inclined rectangular duct with an interior circular tube is investigated numerically for a thermally and hydrodynamicaly fully developed flow. The two heat transfer mechanisms of convection and radiation are treated independently and simultaneously. The governing equations which used are continuity, momentum and energy equations. These equations are normalized and solved using the Vorticity-Stream function and the Body Fitted Coordinates (B.F.C) methods. The finite difference approach with the Line Successive Over-Relaxation (LSOR) method is used to obtain all the computational results. The (B.F.C) method is used to generate the grid of the problem. A computer program (Fortran

Morphological, Anatomical Study and Geographical Distribution in Iraq of Capparis spinosa L.

This study dealt with many of morphological, anatomical characteristics and geographical distribution of Capparis spinosa L. that grown wildly in Iraq, The species were compared to the adoption of field and herbarium specimens. A detailed morphological feature of the stem, leaf, fruit and seed were introduced. Anatomical studies reveal constant taxonomic characteristics such as the obvious cuticle on the epidermis of stems and leaves, developed cortex, pith and vascular tissue in stems. From an environmental perspective has been studied the habitat and the distribution of C. spinosa in Iraq that showed inhabit very dry places and had mesophytic and xerophytic habitat.

Anatomical study of Solanum nigrum L. from Solanaceae family growing in Iraq
Abstract<p>The most important features that we have reached through this study, are shown the cross-section of root were in the secondary growth stage and the epidermis of leaf were studded by stomata complex, the type of it was anomocytic that’s mean no have subsidiary cells around the guard cells, the mesophyll bifacial also the midrib region of leaf like the pear and the vascular bundle located in the center crescent in shape. The cross-sections of petiole ovate shape with two ears in the lateral side and the vascular bundles crescent in shape. Immunohistochemical study of CD34 in tooth eruption by using amniotic stem cells

Background: Tooth eruption is a more general process, however, which includes certain posteruptive tooth movements. There are two fundamental requirements for both tooth eruption to occur: (1) Require soft tissue, intervening between tooth structure and alveolar bone, which plays an important role in regulating the remodeling of adjacent tissues. (2) Require bone turnover that is temporally and spatially regulated to facilitate specific translocations of teeth through alveolar bone These amniotic stem cells are multipotent and able to differentiate into various tissues, which may be useful for human application and recently it used in many medical branches. CD34 is an endothelial marker that is extensively used in immunohistochemistry a

Pre-operative anxiety in patients undergoing different types of surgery Comparative study

Background: Major life changes are among many factors that cause emotional arousal and anxiety ,and one of these changes is surgery. emotional reactions to surgery have specific
effects on the intensity and velocity as well as the process of physical disease and on the general state of wellbeing of the patient.
Aims: This study is aimed at determining the relationship between the nature, extent and severity of preoperative anxiety and different types of surgery.
Methods: 150 patients 84 males 68 females awaiting different types of surgery at Al-Kindy teaching hospital at the period from 1st January to 1stJuly 2008 were assessed for a clinically

Study of Some Biochemical Parameters in Iraqi Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Leukemia or cancer of the blood is the most common childhood cancer, Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), is the most common form of leukemia that occurs in children. It is characterized by the presence of too many immature white blood cells in the child’s blood and bone marrow, Acute lymphoblastic leukemia can occur in adults too, treatment is different for children. Children with ALL develop symptoms related to infiltration of blasts in the bone marrow, lymphoid system, and extramedullary sites, such as the central nervous system (CNS). Common constitutional indications consist of fatigue (50%), pallor (25%), fever (60%), and weight loss (26%). Infiltration of blast cells in the marrow cavity and periosteum often lead to bone

Comparative Study of Bacterial Contamination in Local Iraqi Sheep and Goats Semen

Background: Semen contamination is a detrimental factor in decreasing fertility. Seasonal changes may affect the contamination, too. Objectives: This study was designed to detect semen contamination in ovine and caprine during different seasons. Methods: Six fully mature male sheep and goats were subjected to electro-ejaculator collection twice monthly from February 1, 2022, to January 31, 2023 (Spring, February 1, 2022-April 30, 2022; Summer, May 1, 2022, July 31, 2022; Autumn August 1, 2022, October 31, 2022; Winter November 1, 2022, January 31, 2023), for studying the seasonal effect. A total of 288 semen samples were collected from both species (36 samples from each per season). All samples were subjected to bacterial isolatio
