Measuring and analyzing the effect of foreign debt on the gross domestic product in Morocco for the period 1990-2017 using the ARDL Test
...Show More Authors

The research aims to identify the magnitude of the impact of external debt on the gross domestic product in Morocco, and the importance of research lies in the role that external debt plays in addressing structural imbalances, if it is best disposed of according to well-studied economic plans by specialists in this regard, especially if these debts are directed with Other resources, as it helps pay the costs of these debts (debt servicing) that the external debt also raises the level of gross domestic product, and the research starts from the hypothesis that: There is an effect of foreign debt on the GDP in Morocco, has contributed in one way or another to The exacerbation of the external debt, which affected the macro variables, of the Moroccan economy, and became unable to fulfill the debt maturities and its assets, and attempted to resort to rescheduling its debts according to unfair terms with the aim of reducing the severity of the debt, as statistical and standard tools were used, represented by testing the unit root to determine the dormancy of the time series and by accreditation On the methodology of (Dickie Fuller) expanded method, and to know the equilibrium relationship between the study variables, as the ARDL model was relied upon, the study found a relationship A long-term equilibrium (joint integration) between the study variables (independent and dependent), the statistical value of (F) reached (6.06), which is greater than the smallest value (3.29) and the maximum (4.37) at a significant level (1%). This indicates the existence of a long-term equilibrium relationship (a co-integration relationship) between the study variables in the long term. The time series of variables (Y, X1, X2, X3) is not stable at the level, while the time series of the independent variable (X4) is stable at the level. With a breaker and without a breaker and a time trend at a significant level (1%, 5%), and after taking the first difference of the variables (Y, X1, X2, X3), it stabilized at a significant level (1%, 5%, 10%) with the presence of a breaker and a breaker and a time trend Without a break and a time trend. It is evident from the two tests (CUSUM) and (CUSUM of Squares) that there are stability and consistency in the model for the short term and there is no stability in the long term.

The most important recommendations are directing foreign debts to productive economic sectors, in a way that leads to creating added value and paying attention to foreign debts, directing them towards important priorities and maintaining the stability of macroeconomic variables, and moving away from debts with high conditionalities that restrict the country's economy and falling into a debt trap

Impact Resistance of Limestone Cement Self Compacting Concrete Reinforced by Locally Available Grids
...Show More Authors

Impact strength of self-compacted concrete is a field of interest, mostly when the concrete is produced from sustainable materials. This research's main objective is to clarify the ability to use two types of Portland limestone cement (Karasta and Tasluja) in self compacted concrete under impact loading, further to the economic and environmental benefits of the limestone cement. The impact loading was applied by a low-speed test, using the drop ball on concrete. Moreover, the study reveals the resistance of the grids reinforced concrete to impact loading by using polymer grid, and steel grid reinforced concrete slabs. Mixes reinforced by steel mesh had the highest results, indicating that the steel mesh was more robust because it had

Post-Fire Behavior of Post-Tensioned Segmental Concrete Beams under Monotonic Static Loading
...Show More Authors

This paper presents a study to investigate the behavior of post-tensioned segmental concrete beams that exposed to high-temperature. The experimental program included fabricating and testing twelve simply supported beams that divided into three groups depending on the number of precasting concrete segments. All specimens were prepared with an identical length of 3150 mm and differed in the number of the incorporated segments of the beam (9, 7, or 5 segments). To simulate the genuine fire disasters, nine out of twelve beams were exposed to a high-temperature flame for one hour. Based on the standard fire curve (ASTM – E119), the temperatures of 300◦C (572◦F), 500◦C (932◦F), and 700◦C (1292◦F) were adopted. Consequently,

Are Narrow Line Seyfert 1 galaxies a special class of Active Galactic Nuclei?
...Show More Authors

No. Due to their apparently extreme optical to X-ray properties, Narrow Line Seyfert 1s (NLSy1s) have been considered a special class of active galactic nuclei (AGN). Here, we summarize observational results from different groups to conclude that none of the characteristics that are typically used to define the NLSy1s as a distinct group – from the, nowadays called, Broad Line Seyfert 1s (BLSy1s) – is unique, nor ubiquitous of these particular sources, but shared by the whole Type 1 AGN. Historically, the NLSy1s have been distinguished from the BLSy1s by the narrow width of the broad Hb emission line. The upper limit on the full width at half maximum of this line is 2000kms−1 for NLSy1s, while in BLSy1s it can be of several thousands

Numerical Analysis of Segmental Post Tensioned Concrete Beams Exposed to High Fire Temperature
...Show More Authors

The main objective of this study is to characterize the main factors which may affect the behavior of segmental prestressed concrete beams comprised of multi segments. The 3-D finite element program ABAQUS was utilized. The experimental work was conducted on twelve simply supported segmental prestressed concrete beams divided into three groups depending on the precast segments number. They all had an identical total length of 3150mm, but each had different segment numbers (9, 7, and 5 segments), in other words, different segment lengths. To simulate the genuine fire disasters, nine beams were exposed to high-temperature flame for one hour, the selected temperatures were 300°C (572°F), 500°C (932°F) and 700°C (1292°F) as recomm

Remediation of Groundwater Contaminated with Copper Ions by Waste Foundry Sand Permeable Barrier
...Show More Authors

The permeable reactive barrier (PRB) is one of the promising innovative in situ groundwater remediation technologies, in removing of copper from a contaminated shallow aquifer. The 1:1- mixture of waste foundry sand (WFS) and Kerbala’s sand (KS) was used for PRB. The WFS was represented the reactivity material while KS used to increase the permeability of PRB only. However, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) analysis proved that the carboxylic and alkyl halides groups are responsible for the sorption of copper onto WFS. Batch tests have been performed to characterize the equilibrium sorption properties of the (WFS+KS) mix in copper- containing aqueous
solutions. The sorption data for Cu+2 ions, obtained by batch experiments, have be

Spectroscopic study of dielectric barrier discharge argon plasma at different gas flow rates
...Show More Authors

Dielectric barrier discharges (DBD) can be described as the presence of contact with the discharge of one or more insulating layers located between two cylindrical or flat electrodes connected to an AC/pulse dc power supply. In this work, the properties of the plasma generated by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) system without and with a glass insulator were studied. The plasma was generated at a constant voltage of 4 kV and fixed distance between the electrodes of 5 mm, and with a variable flow rate of argon gas (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5) L/min. The emission spectra of the DBD plasmas at different flow rates of argon gas have been recorded. Boltzmann plot method was used to calculate the plasma electron temperature (Te), and Stark broadeni
