Accounting Mining Data Using Neural Networks (Case study)
...Show More Authors

Business organizations have faced many challenges in recent times, most important of which is information technology, because it is widely spread and easy to use. Its use has led to an increase in the amount of data that business organizations deal with an unprecedented manner. The amount of data available through the internet is a problem that many parties seek to find solutions for. Why is it available there in this huge amount randomly? Many expectations have revealed that in 2017, there will be devices connected to the internet estimated at three times the population of the Earth, and in 2015 more than one and a half billion gigabytes of data was transferred every minute globally. Thus, the so-called data mining emerged as a technique that aims at extracting knowledge from huge amounts of data, based on mathematical algorithms, which are the basis for data mining. They are derived from many sciences such as statistics, mathematics, logic, learning science, artificial intelligence, expert systems, form-recognition science, and other sciences, which are considered smart and non-traditional.

The problem of the research states that the steady increase in the amount of data, as well as the emergence of many current areas that require different data due to the contemporary environment of business organizations today, make information systems unable to meet the needs of these current organizations, and this applies exactly to accounting information systems as they are the main system in business organizations today. These systems have been designed to meet specific needs that make it impossible today to meet the different needs according to the contemporary environment of business organizations today, as well as failing to deal with the amount of data generated by the information technologies.

The research proposes two main hypotheses. First, the adoption of accounting data mining leads to providing data that the accounting information system was unable to provide before, as well as to shortening the time and effort required to obtain it. Second, the adoption of accounting exploration of data enables the adoption of artificial intelligence methods in processing such data to provide useful information to rationalize decisions.

The research leads to a number of conclusions, including that the steady increase in the amount of data in general, and the accounting data in particular, makes dealing with traditional frameworks a very difficult issue and leads to loss of time and effort during extracting information. In addition, the emergence of many current variables as a result of changes in the work environment requires the presence of technical tools, which have enough flexibility to deal with them. Moreover, data mining tools have the ability to derive relationships based on their existing databases that were not available before.

The research presents a number of recommendations, most important of which is the need to adopt the model presented by the research, i.e., Multilayer Perception, a network that exists within the (SPSS) program, which allows the possibility to use this network easily in rationalizing the decision to choose implemented projects in the provincial councils

Exploring the Impact of Petrophysical Uncertainties on Recoverable Reserves: A Case Study
...Show More Authors

Reliable estimation of critical parameters such as hydrocarbon pore volume, water saturation, and recovery factor are essential for accurate reserve assessment. The inherent uncertainties associated with these parameters encompass a reasonable range of estimated recoverable volumes for single accumulations or projects. Incorporating this uncertainty range allows for a comprehensive understanding of potential outcomes and associated risks. In this study, we focus on the oil field located in the northern part of Iraq and employ a Monte Carlo based petrophysical uncertainty modeling approach. This method systematically considers various sources of error and utilizes effective interpretation techniques. Leveraging the current state of a

Exploring Sport’s Role in Mitigating Conflicts Gulf Cup as a Case Study
...Show More Authors

Conflict, peace, and sports have a long history as practical realities, and their correlation has become an important subject of study in the last decades of the twentieth century. Sport has infiltrated peace and conflict studies as a tool for resolving conflict and building peace, but opinions have differed between those who say it is a positive tool and others who see it as negative. The Gulf Cup is one of the champions that have never been studied, and in-depth research about it has not been done. This tournament has affected the relations between the states involved. The politics cast its shadow on the Gulf Cup. The paper aims to shed light on how political events in the region have consistently affected the Gulf Cup and how politics in

Critical Success Factors in Construction Projects (Governmental Projects as a Case Study)
...Show More Authors

The importance of the construction sector and its Great role in the provision of services and infrastructure, reduce poverty, improve living conditions and improve the economic situation in the country, impose attention to the way in which the projects implemented for its improvement and to get successful projects. The objective of this research was to determine the criteria for success as well as critical success and failure factors that have a significant impact on project success. A selected 75 engineer (department managers, project managers and engineers) are asked to fill the questionnaire form, Sixty-seven valid questionnaire forms were analyzed statistically to get search results, which were as follows : Twe

The role of learning organizations in crisis management strategy: A case study
...Show More Authors

The problem of the paper focused on the role of the learning organization in the crisis management strategy, and the extent of the actual interest in both the learning organization and the crisis management and aimed at diagnosing and analyzing that and surrounding questions. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program was used to calculate the results and the correlation coefficient between the two main variables. The methodology was descriptive and analytical. The case study was followed by a questionnaire that was distributed to a sample of 31 teachers. The paper adopted a seven-dimensional model of systemic thinking that encourages questioning, empowerment, provision of advanced technologies, and strategic lea

Estimation of domestic urban electricity consumption: A case study of Baghdad, Iraq
...Show More Authors

Electricity consumption for household purposes in urban areas widely affects the general urban consumption compared to other commercial and industrial uses, as household electricity consumption is affected by many factors related to the physical aspects of the residential area such as temperature, housing unit area, and coverage ratio, as well as social and economic factors such as family size and income, to reach the extent of the influence of each of the above factors on the amount of electricity consumed for residential uses, a selected sample of a residential area in the city of Baghdad was studied and a field survey conducted of the characteristics of that sample and the results analyzed and modeled statistically in relation to the amo

There is no doubt that the project control function is very important for administration, so the project Management depends on to monitor and control the project. The project control integrated to the planning which is the base of the administration functions; planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. Without project control cannot be insure to fulfill the plan of the project by the budget and specified time. The project management apply many methods of control to achieve the goals of project which are cost, time, and required specifications. Earned Value Management one of control methods that used in the project by international companies.

Structural Interpretation of Yamama and Naokelekan Formations in Tuba Oil Field Using 2D Seismic Data
...Show More Authors

This research includes structure interpretation of the Yamama Formation (Lower Cretaceous) and the Naokelekan Formation (Jurassic) using 2D seismic reflection data of the Tuba oil field region, Basrah, southern Iraq. The two reflectors (Yamama and Naokelekan) were defined and picked as peak and tough depending on the 2D seismic reflection interpretation process, based on the synthetic seismogram and well log data. In order to obtain structural settings, these horizons were followed over all the regions. Two-way travel-time maps, depth maps, and velocity maps have been produced for top Yamama and top Naokelekan formations. The study concluded that certain longitudinal enclosures reflect anticlines in the east and west of the study ar

Modis Satellite Data Evaluation for Detecting the Dust Storm Using Remote Sensing Techniques Over Iraq
...Show More Authors
Abstract
The phenomena of Dust storm take place in barren and dry regions all over the world. It may cause by intense ground winds which excite the dust and sand from soft, arid land surfaces resulting it to rise up in the air. These phenomena may cause harmful influences upon health, climate, infrastructure, and transportation. GIS and remote sensing have played a key role in studying dust detection. This study was conducted in Iraq with the objective of validating dust detection. These techniques have been used to derive dust indices using Normalized Difference Dust Index (NDDI) and Middle East Dust Index (MEDI), which are based on images from MODIS and in-situ observation based on hourly wi
...
