Public private partnership PPP is a method to procure public projects in order to achieve additional value for money in terms of efficiency and quality of services. This thesis studies the concepts of PPP, advantages and disadvantages of PPP. In addition, current Iraq infrastructure projects situations and needs, as well as, some aspects relating to the Iraq’s construction market, legal and contract systems were discussed. A financial model was carried out and applied to a real-life case study project. Finally, a survey targeted researchers; public and private- sectors were applied.

     In recent years, landslides in mountainous provinces have been increasing. Whenever the rainy season comes, landslides occur, causing casualties to people and the infrastructure. Bac Can, which has suffered significant damage from landslides, is a mountainous province in the north of Vietnam. This study introduces the applying the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to study landslides in Bac Can province, Vietnam. All-optical canonical logic units at 40 Gb/s using bidirectional four-wave mixing (FWM) in highly nonlinear fiber are proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Clear temporal waveforms and correct pattern streams are successfully observed in the experiment. This scheme can reduce the amount of nonlinear devices and enlarge the computing capacity compared with general ones. The water injection of the most important technologies to increase oil production from petroleum reservoirs. In this research, we developed a model for oil tank using the software RUBIS for reservoir simulation. This model was used to make comparison in the production of oil and the reservoir pressure for two case studies where the water was not injected in the first case study but adding new vertical wells while, later, it was injected in the second case study. It represents the results of this work that if the water is not injected, the reservoir model that has been upgraded can produce only 2.9% of the original oil in the tank. This case study also represents a drop in reservoir pressure, which was not enough to support oil production

In this work, measurements of activity concentration of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) isotopes and their related hazard indices for several materials such as crude oil, sludge and water in Ahdeb oil fields in Waste governorate using high pure germanium coaxial detection technique. During 2011, 1900 clinical specimens and 240 hospital environment specimens were collected from four hospitals in Baghdad. 128 isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii were obtained from clinical and environmental specimens in a percentage of 6.05% and 5.42%, respectively. The highest percentage of isolation, 83.62% was of sputum specimens and lower percentage of burns specimens 5.22%. The lowest incidence was of age range (71-80) years old group whereas the highest incidence was of age range (31-40) years old group.
