Problems in the Translation of Spanish phraseology to Arabic in the Literary Text (A Comparative Study from the Perspective translatological)

Abstract

One of the most common problems facing the translator is the identification and subsequent search for correspondences of phraseological units. The importance of the phraseological competence in a foreign language is widely recognized by many authors (Howarth, Corpas Pastor, Pamies Bertran, to name a few).

We must lose our fear to recognize that the domain of the phraseology is the highest level of command of any language. The objective of the present study is to clarify the differences in UFS Spanish to Arabic by the documentation of such characteristics with examples taken from the novel of the Family of Pascual Duarte (FPD) of the author Camilo José Cela. Based on a corpus of several UFs from dialogues and events that the characters in the novel mentioned above are swapped, and the corresponding translations carried out in Arabic, try to discover the different translation equivalents employed (total, partial and null.

Application of Waste Lead Acid Battery Plastic to Produce Lightweight Masonry Units
...Show More Authors

The concrete industry consumes millions of tons of aggregate comprising of natural sands and gravels, each year. In recent years there has been an increasing trend towards using recycled aggregate to save natural resources and to produce lightweight concrete. This study investigates the possibility of using waste plastic as one of the components of lead-acid batteries to replace the fine aggregate by 50 and 70% by volume of concrete masonry units. Compared to the reference concrete mix, results demonstrated that a reduction of approximately 32.5% to 39.6% in the density for replacement of 50% to 70% respectively. At 28 days curing age, the compressive strength was decreased while the water absorption increased by increas
